Not so good...
Snap Fibre - New Zealand
israel maximum speed its supose to be 100 mbit
i think they are working on my network, i have 3 mbit higher download then usual
Another decent, and free upgrade 5 months later.
Upload could be better though, would of liked at least 15mb but can't complain too much.
Sheeeeeeet My 10Mbps doesn't sound so fast anymore lol.
It does appear that when it comes to upload speed, us in the UK are not getting the best speeds.
At least you're not getting raped monthly when the bill comes.
I'm actually considering dropping back to a 25/5 connection with a different ISP cuz it'd knock almost $30 a month off my bill and get rid of the crappy Actiontec modem/router that Verizon requires. I got til August to decide...
Yeah, i suppose so as i'm assuming you get charged if you go over a certain amount, not sure how much exactly i pay as it's part of my cable package, but it's somewhere around £30-35 i think.
Saying that, i would still like the choice of having a better upload speed, as the download speed is overkill most of the time.
Do you have to use their own modem/router?
Another quick test since its midnight here.
I pay $112.98 + tax for 50/25 internet, TV and Phone. I don't need the phone line but if I drop it, my bill goes up to $242.98 + tax.
Damn, and thought it was bad that I don't save money by ditching the landline.
Yeah. Only reason I keep the landline. I had to setup an inbound call filter on it cuz it was ringing constantly.
Gobsmacked, does not due justice to the astonishment I am feeling at the cost of what (almost) amounts to a basic necessity.
There's a poster on the prior page who gets a 1GB connection in London for roughly $80 USD, including tax
35 down / 5 up 125 a month for internet and expanded basic @ HD. Charter
Free upgrade 120 to 152
People complain about virgin but they've always given me more than advertised speeds!
I have 1gb for 25 euros / month. Includes phone (not calls) and wireless router.
Only pay for line rental (£15), broadband is free.
On sky but using the o2 login and my BE box router
Verizon FIOS 35/35. They offer 100+mbit plans in my area but last time I checked the higher tiers have lower upload speeds than what I get now. Plus, I'd have to upgrade my smoothwall with gigabit NICs to use anything faster than 100/100.
$83 a month
Cox offers another tier above mine but for me it's overkill. In Phoenix you only get 3 choices. Cox, Centurylink, and Comcast. My speed is about double the fastest Centurylink will give me. Don't know about Comcast but I've always been happy with my Cox.
