65 EUR is a bargain!!
£41 Internet + £90 SkyHD package with land line
Yeah that's pretty steep alright, though if I want HBO and movie channels etc we need to pay another 10~15 EUR per package. So that can easily add up fast.
Damn you guys with mad fast internets. We get 2.5 down and 0.6 up. At least now some of you can justify having Gigabit ethernet connectors on motherboards. XD
^ I am jealous. Internet costs way more in America and now I am pissed lol. Some of the monopoly providers charge between 50 and 60USD for 10-15MB internet here. It various a bit nationwide of course..
Well, you should have Gigabit anyways for local file transfers in-between PCs and devices on your LAN my man
While the us isp are price gauging and hold back our internet speeds. i switched from Verizon dsl which was 3mbit/750kps that i was getting charged 100+$ us for phone and internet to Optimum I now pay 78$ month for year for 50mbit/8mbit to be changed to about 100$ after first year but I actual get 110mbit/8mbit with 20ms ping as opposed to the 45ms 3mbit/750 i was getting from verizon
Dont get me started. I am on Time Warner and i freaking cant use any other provider because you know "Choice" (*cough Monopoly). Apparently if i move across the street i can get a better provider but they cant wire the cables on my side of the street. Freaking BS. :bang:.
Oh and yeah US telcos are a pain to deal with and overcharge everything. Paying here $50 for 15/1.
$80 for 10/2 .. be grateful
UPC - 50 Down / 2,5 Up Cable, €32,50
Paying for 50/8 75$
I'd say it's not so bad for 9 euros a month :nerd:
Paying for 60/3 + phone + 110 tv = 29,49€ per month - Portugal
Traffic shapping in P2P to international ip which sucks and after 500gb they cut the speeds to 4/0.5 i think.
Now I'm more jealous. Are your services subsidized by your government at all or is that a special "hook-up"? I am about to start a petition in America lol
I wish there were subsidies. Not too probable that's going to happen in Finland though. It's just a service that's being offered by one of the ISP's, housing company broadband or something like that. FTTB basically but it's damn cheap.
I can't say it's that cheap everywhere in Finland even if you'd have the same service there as it depends on the number of apartments that are being connected.
Overall there's this huge parity between connection speeds in Finland. While I'm paying 9 € for 100/10, my parents back home are paying 49 € for 3/1. It's a bit silly if you ask me.
Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro, Manchester, UK
Rocking it at an actual that is more than 9mb/s in the UK.
Although it maxes out the 4 cores on the O/C unlocked phenom II. I got a bottleneck somewhere on the mobo or cpu because my system can't keep up when I update Planetside 2 or Firefall.
£30 a month.
You can get 25/5 for ~$20, but you have to sign a contract, ISP SBB in Serbia.
I'm curently paying ~$15, ISP Telekom also in Serbia.
I should unsubscribe from this thread. It just makes me jealous lol. We have to pay through the nose for internet in America, and if you want fast, you really pay.
