man... thought i was doing well on a 3mb connection...
So we're doing university connections here now? That's cheating! I'll get a screengrab from my uni's OC-192 (or something silly like that) when I get the time
Hehe, we have a direct fibre link to nottingham university, if I could get someone there to let me dl a file, the speeds would put us all to shame.
Too bad... They will be offering 100Mbit connections soon here (fibre based thing, not sure what houses can get it though but they are advertising it here).
This is the computer I'm on atm.
But at home, I get like 1/50 the speed. Thanks Comcast and your fabulous reliablity!
i thnk this is a double post
Virgin media 20 mb also digital tv and phone £58 a month
speedtest recommended dublin for some reason lol
ADSL Max is fine, its actually BTw that are problem (make the problem...).
BTw BT Wholesale.
Comcast Cable, with TV service (and promotional 1 year pricing, not your average three months, I did some talking to the rep for this one). ~$80, for internet alone $22.95, the other fifty or so is for TV and taxes.
This is the result at home. I have a 100Mbit/10Mbit connection but most tests show that my upload is more than 10Mbit (sometimes double that speed) and my download slower. I have downloaded drivers off Nvidia site with more than 8 MB (megabytes)/s sometimes.
I pay 320skr for it which is about 34€
Verizon Fios 15/15: (current) Cheaper since we got TV/Phone aswell with verizon.
Comcast 16/2 w/ PowerBoost: (previous) Got rid of TV so was paying 10 dollars more so was $68/month.
Are we going to go through this again... and who created it... owns it.... rents from it, other ISP's rents from the same lines, same technology.
No, you just said "I seriously detest ADSL Max, as BT can screw with the IP profile as they please." When they (themselves) dont 'screw' with them, its the users responsbility to some extent - if your using it.
Just figuring out why you say it.
I'm on 14.4k Hi-speed dial-up.
14,4 dialup?!? Are you serious? I know dialup is still used, but 14,4?
he likes retro lol
I'm not supposed to have internet. Just moved in to my new place yesterday, whacked my pc up, tried my modem and boom connection, felt like my birthday.
