Yeah it will probably half.
no chance for fibre or cable here...
have to stay on dsl, but look my ping :nerd:
btw, server is ~20km (12 miles)
Charter here, used to really suck last year I had a 5Mb/512Kb connection, i moved and a year later I have this, 16/2....pretty sweet
Massive improvement over my old line, never thought I'd see these speeds in my area, my upload is supposed to be 10Mb/s but haven't been able to achieve that yet although download looks about right (40mb max).
Does anyone know if you can access line stats on BT's VDSL2 modem, or access it in anyway? I can access the homehub that connects to it but that doesn't tell me anything.
It's a 50/50, but my current Firewall isn't able to handle that much.
Here at work its not too bad. I get about the same download speeds at home but only 3 mb upload speed.
I always got told to shut my mouth cause HK got one of the best infrastructure in the world and complaining about anything is wrong.
They forgot to mention that 400+ apartments share the same line unless you pay extra.
I will be upgrading soon! This is what I have now.
Why so slow uploads?
im not jealous.....ya git lol
mine changes each time i do it anyway, it may say 17 mbps and next one after say 25mbps so i dont think these are too accurate, though doesnt matter at all if the servers your using are slower than your speed anyhow. My average downloads for actual files are usually 300-400 kbps, so a lot of good that 17mbps rating did me lol
having a bad day.
not bad for 10£ a month, im with o2 on their premium package
