    My set up
    [IMG]

    TV = Samsung 46C650
    Sattellite = Sky+ HD (Amstrad box)
    Mediaplayer = Tvix 6500-a with 2TB hdd (20+ full bluray rips, 60+ 1080p.mkvs)
    Games = Wii softmodded & 500gb HD (32 games on there)
    Amp = Cambridge Audio Azur 540R
    Speakers = Eltax 5.1 with active sub

    The TV (wired), Mediaplayer (wired) and the Wii (wireless) are all connected to the net.

    I also have "networksciences audio installation" http://www.homenetworksciences.com/audio.aspx having speakers in the ceilings in the lounge,kitchen,bedroom1,bathroom and garage powered by an amp (in the 'nerve centre' under my stairs as I call it). This amp takes its audio either from mp3player/ipod conneted directly or from my mediaplayer/av receiver remotely. These devices can be controlled in any room via the IR passthru.

    The 'nerve centre' also houses my Router and has a 'TV link' distibution kit/booster inside, so i have ethernet ports,phone connectors,audio and TV viewing points in every room (except the bathroom of course)

    Sharp Aquos 46" LCD - LC46LE700UN
    Onkyo TX-SR508 + Sinclair 5.1 = 1700$
    Popcorn hour c-200

    So i'll be ordering this tomorrow or friday. Will update once everything is setup.

    Edit: Actually i might settle with Onkyo HT-RC160 + Onkyo 7.1 speakers
    It's 1150$...

    That TX + 5.1 is 650$ more because the receiver actually supports 3D TV
    http://www.onkyo.ca/products_compare.cfm
    But the LC46LE700UN is not 3d ready. And besides i dont care about that.
    Also i didn't want 7.1...i guess i can set 2 speakers aside. And the 5.1 were better.

    edit2: sigh i got cold feet in the store... ~4500$ too much money. I dunno i'm gonna wait till Christmas i think...

    Some really awesome setups here, really inspiring me to make an effort to upgrade my audio system to something that can really fill the mid-range.

    TV : Philips 37PFL7422
    Audio : Logitech Z-5500
    HTPC : Ubuntu 10.04 server, 10.5TB of storage run also as media PC on an ATi HD3300 and a creative X-Fi Xtreme Music. System uses 2 x Dell Perc 5/i hardware RAID controllers.

    I've just moved into my new place so I need new furniture for my living room, which is on its way. But for now I have this awesome desk I've had since I was 10. Also makes a good place to store a 22" vertical screen :p.

    My setup(s):

    PC games/creating and listening to music: Tannoy Reveal Active studio monitors with a Tannoy TS8 sub. Acoustic dampening (home built) on the walls (its a complete waste to have a good music system and not doing anything about the acoustics..)

    Xbox360/movies: LG 50PS3000 50" Plasma with Logitech Z-5500 surround system.

    Movies: Optoma HD70 DLP projector ~90" screen. Really love this projector and screen, the picture is very 3D, really great depth compared to any TV i've seen. The surround system is a complete mix of stuff, 2 big TDL speakers (RTL3), 2 Jamo rear speakers (no idea what they're called), a B&W cc6 front speaker, all connected to a Yamaha RX-V420RDS. I use a Acer 8920G Laptop (has bluray) as the HTPC.

    For my Sony Vaio Laptop i use a pair of Logitech G35 phones, they're not that great, wouldn't call it "surround" at least.

    here is mine, 55" samsung 3d led, 3d bluray , sony 6.1 receiver only use 5.1 i cant find anything that uses 6.1 sound so didnt bother wiring the rear center speaker, i got a combination of speakers the front left/right are kenwood, the center and rear surrounds are sony and 2 woofers one sony and one kenwood, id like to change the surround system but looking at the samsung systems the onlyone i liked (HT-C6930W)7.1 1330watts comes with a bluray player that is also the receiver and has so limited connections on the rear I wasnt convinced. I like having many inputs and outputs on the receiver. also got a gaming pc on the right of the receiver. most of the movies I stream wirelessly from my main pc to the bluray player.

    My newest addition: AKG K601 headphones. Currently running them off a vintage NAD stereo pre-amp, but I will upgrade that to something better soon. They sound absolutely amazing! And thinking they're only going to get better when they're done breaking in (2-300 hours) makes me very happy. :D

    my setup

    TV: Windows Media Center
    Monitor: westinghouse 47in 1080p display
    Rig: <--- look to the left
    Amp: samson 1200watt power amp
    CD,DVD : xbox360 or pc
    Blu-Ray: sony ps3
    Speakers: 4 KLH 300watt RMS floor standing speakers (15in woofers, 20Hz-30Khz freq. range)

    I really love this setup. The monitor is very crisp and is great for gaming and watching movies. The KLH speakers have such a large frequency range and can handle alot of power. ive never been a fan of these systems with the small speakers and a sub on the side. i feel that they dont reproduce sound quality as well as larger speakers do. The samson amp boats plenty of pwer to the speakers. i also use a dual 10 band eq. The xbox360 is hooked up via VGA cable. i have the original that doesnt have an hdmi hook up available. but the visuals are still pretty good. the PC is hooked via DVI. the image is very clean and i have my res at 1920x1080. the ps3 is hooked up via hdmi, again a very clean signal for watching blu-ray.
    The pics were taken from a cell phone so im sorry for the image quality( or lack thereof lol) but you can get the general feel of the setup.

    Guys,

    My setup:
    Dell S2409W Full HD monitor
    Sony Blu ray BD S370/B
    Audio:
    connected my front two speakers to my monitor's 3.5 mm audio jack out.

    I'm seriously thinking of Buying "Onkyo HT-S3300 5.1 Channel Home Theatre Receiver and Speaker Package".

    What do you guys think ?

    Please suggest...
