I have been on computer for awhile tonight and my computer shut-off once and had to be restarted manually, and just restarted on its own. What should I look for? What program is the best to monitor PSU voltage? thxs

P.S. voltage on 12 volt rail is steady at 11.84 via speedfan is this OK?????

First, make sure it is a hardware problem and not just Windows playing silly buggers.

Turn on, keep tapping F8, start it in safe mode, leave it.

If it's OK in safe mode and does this in normal WIndows, your PSU is fine and Windows is indeed playing silly buggers.

999 times out of 1000, that's what the problem is.

EDIT: Voltages within 5% of nominal are fine. So yes, 11.84V as opposed to 12V is fine.

You can't really read voltage values from the motherboard. Those sensors are always never correct. The best way to measure voltages is to use a multimeter.
