    GPU:
    Nvidia 8800 Ultra
    Processor E2180 (OC very stable to 3.2Ghz)
    Ram 2Gb (Geil CL4)
    Motherboard Asus P5K Pro
    OCZ 600W Power Supply
    BFG 8800 Ultra (OC 675MHz)
    Using all the newest Nvidia driver and the latest Phyx Driver

    right now i'm getting only average 32FPS with the Nurien that i downloaded from Nvidia, which is quite shocking cuz people with 8800 GTX are getting at least a 60FPS

    this 8800 Ultra which i got from ebay has always gotten me wondering, cuz i upgraded this from a 8800 GT and my 3dMark06 score has only gone up by 100 points ONLY!!! which makes me wonder whether my card is defected, or my processor is limiting it's performance (which i kinda doubt)

    Any ideas?

    PS... interestingly enough, before the Nvidia version of Nurien came out, i downloaded the same 0.7 alpha version of Nurien earlier from a chinese site, suprisingly, THAT gave me an average of 58FPS

    Desparately in need of help

    thanks so much guys

    If it's any help at all, I tried the physx demos and then went out and ordered a 4870 which will arrive tomorrow morning ;)

    Y did u upgrade to a 8800 Ultra when u had is 8800GT which when overclocked is faster thne the Ultra. u should have gotton a 4870 or even the X2 or a GTX 260 or GTX 280.

    Yea im uising 177.83, even tried downgrading to .79 and didn't help either

    haha well reason i got the Ultra was cuz i found a cheap one on ebay... and i always thought there would be a significant diff in, say, framerate in certain games...
    but now im very tempted to sell it back and use my 8800GT again since it's not making any significant difference.

    but ANYWAY, barring my silly decision on getting the Ultra, any ideas on the problem?

    I got about the same:
    In Nurien i get an aveage of 20FPS and fluidmark Fluidmark ~3600points.
    I'm using 177.83 WHQL + 08.08.01 PhysX.

    Incidentally, the Ultra will score noticeably higher than the GT because my GTX scores quite a bit higher than my GT ;)

    Quite simply because they both have more stream procs than the GT.

    The best Nurien score with my GTX was :-

    Max = 102 FPS

    Min = 34 FPS

    AVG = 55 FPS

    And my GT :-

    Max = 81 FPS

    Min = 29 FPS

    Avg = 50 FPS
