Didn't for me... ran about the same from a brief play of the single player. The 20 fps framerate and horrible lag in the multiplayer menu was still there and it took an age to quit to the desktop. I suspect that issue is caused by the title screen being 2D so the cards run at 157/300 MHz whereas the single player is a 3D screen so the cards are running at full speed. That said other games have had 2D menu screens and not had this horrible lag so it looks likely it is a bug in the game itself that still has not been fixed.

close any internet browsers before playing the game (steam browser included). all the new browsers (chrome7, ie9beta, firefox 4 beta 7) will force your gpu to stay in 2d clocks. if you run a 3d game, its still stuck in 2d clocks.

I've certainly encountered the IE9 beta bug which makes my second GPU run at 400/1250 MHz on the desktop and, thus, 10 C warmer but I don't have that issue when I run the single player mode as both GPUs run at the full 875/1250 MHz speeds.

It's only the multiplayer menu that is locked at 2D speeds but that is just a simple 2D image with text not a playable 3D one like the single player. That can't be a coincidence.

    is there a new patch?

I wonder if it's my hardware or simply the game that causes the game to hang after playing a period of time.

oic dude cos it wasn't listed in your specs.

I have a 9800gx2 but i'm not going to use that for phsyx cos it eats up so much power and produces so much heat for so little.

okay latest reports from me. After changing cfg file i thought game play wouldn't be affected. It did. Game hung 2 hrs into gameplay. Entire pc became unresponsive, had to hard reset pc. My ccc from 10.10d doesn't have disable catalyst AI option but i figured the cfg file was switched to single gpu anyway.

This time around i didn't turn on CCC but merely used afterburner to put a high OC. On CCC i set everything to performance and triple buffering. I wonder if it's enabled if CCC isn't turned on cos i have disabled CCC from starting up automatically.

No issues whatsoever. I play with 16xaa -ingame- and never had an fps drop, always 60.

Had 10.10d and now i installed 10.10e. Legit game.

all righty now with 10.10e there's zero hang at all. There was slight mircostuttering during the jungle mission but just for a while and it soon came back to normal. Managed to play probably another 1 more hr and then quit to main menu without a hitch.

Looks like it's fixed for me.

Yea...again all slow downs are for those on multiplayer :3eyes:

I have a hard time believing you have 60fps 16xAA solid in multiplayer.

It runs even slow than Crysis sometimes -.-

I too have everything set to MAX and run it at 1920x1200, and have never seen it drop below (or over due to the cap) 60fps yet.

I dont have stuttering or lag at all either.

I do have problems with the sounds though. If i start TeamSpeak and then the game (MP only) there is no sound in the game. If i start the game first then TS i get 'device not working' in TS, but the sound in the game works great. I have to start and stop each to eventually get sound in both.

wow lucky! I can play S&D with 90+fps full game, but domi/tdm, the game starts to stutter/drop frames.

as in it goes 90 then randomly drops to 10-20...freeze....then back up again.

Also theatre mode is not recording anything after the first 3 games i played a long time ago.

90fps? I guess you must have taken the cap off, as i think its capped at 60fps.
Have you tried recapping it to see if that helps?

Not even bothered looking at theatre mode recording yet.

Just realised this is a crossfire thread. I only have 1 card.

Is capped at 92 FPS, the 60 FPS cap is only with v-sync turned on, wich i dont recommend, because for me the experience was horrible with drops to 20FPS all the ****ing time.
