TwL's Genetix 3.95, cause it runs faster and is more reliable than ATI's releases for single ATI card setup.

10.8 has faster Dx10/11 processing but them not fixing the Underscan reset on boot issue annoys me enough not to use that driver.

I've got a i5 750, had mine overclocked to 4.0ghz with water cooling but wasn't stable, so if your getting grey screen crashes maybe you should try scaleling your overclock back to 3.8ghz like mine, cos if your getting crashes no matter what driver you use, it's more likely not a driver issue but a system instability issue.

Same here, 10.8 have major HD overscan/underscan bug and therefor unusable for us HDTV users.

There is a user fix found in another thread in this forum. People are using that along with Cat 10.8 making it usable for them.

Yeah but I read the instructions for the fix and don't think the benifits of 10.8 are worth the hassle for me, cos my HDTV only has a refresh rate of 60hz and I use vsync as I hate image tearing, so as long as I'm getting around 60fps I'm happy, and I hear directx 9 performance is lower and quite a few of my games are directx 9. I just hope ATI fix it in future. Thanks for letting me know about the fix anyway :)

10.8 at the moment but having scaling issues with my 1080p monitor (connected via hdmi)

What's this 10.5a I keep hearing about? I can find 10.5 drivers but see no 10.5a? Or are they one and the same?

What's interesting is how few are using 10.5 vs 10.8.

Is that why it is great?
Sorry if I'm mocking you, but 2.6fps gained in one title, and that even with a benchmark result, doesn't tell much.

Yes, especially if you trade in speed for image quality. I always prefer the slower drivers as long as they are not too slow. One thing I learned from my time as a beta tester is that (if it's not a real bug) driver optimizations for games are always gained with a certain loss of image quality.

This is actually rather curious subject. As I do think official drivers offers very very good image quality and texture quality. Where as some modded drivers
modifies lower quality textures and image quality to resample the highest quality textures and images. My point is how does one determ what in the
end is the best quality seen on screen. While the speed could be 3 times faster with lower quality modded to look exactly like highest quality even
    better on some cases.

Ideal of course would be the exact original what the developer of application has created, but when we stick AA/AF etc effects not coded in the
application in this soup what is to determ wheither it's better to have modded there boosting speed behind the fog or clean originals ("official").
