So I just purchased a pc and a 24" msi curved monitor. The monitor arrive before the pc did, so I wanted to try it out. I connected my xbox one and it worked fine. Next I connected my laptop and it was fine until I reset my my laptop after an update. Now the monitor shuts off a few seconds after power up. Even when it isn't connected to anything. I turn it on, and I get the big "MSI" power up screen. Then i get the "no signal " and it shuts off after about 5 seconds. The screen shuts off and the blue light by the power button flashes.
Any help would be amazing. My pc arrives tomorrow and I cant spend another 200$ for another monitor right now.

After an windows update? Thats strange, could it be that forced some kinda firmware for your monitor that broke it. Did you try the xbox xbox agan? Maybe your laptop have some video card issues.

On the MSI support website, there is any firmware update for your monitor?
If so, check the latest version and see the upgrade procedure.
But before even than, can you connect the monitor again to your console?
Does the monitor work as intended or gives you the error you described?
What connection/cable are you using? HDMI?
    Display Port?
Have you another cable to try out the same connection using different cable?
