As reported on a Japanese blog, it can be confirmed by this publication that the PlayStation VR indeed works as a personal viewer for PC, Mac, Wii U, Xbox One, and other HDMI sources.... PlayStation VR Can Be Used on PC
Very interesting I deed..... Wonder if they "tried" to not allow such behavior, but could not find a work around.?!
If they can get this to work on the PC without having the need it plugged into a PS4, this might actually be great.
someone will find how to make this work on pc like always basically just need "fooling" the detection so it detected as hooked to ps4 but wonder if it give experience as good as steamVR... indeed its the prices is half of steamVR ($800 vs $399) though
^^Yeah, if it were possible to use this on the PC to play PC VR games then i certainly would consider buy it at that price, because there is no way in hell i am touching any of the present VR headset's at those wife annoying prices. lol
I think this is a missed opportunity for Sony if they don't get it to work on PC. However, I also think that VR's days are numbered, unless prices drop significantly for the current headsets. With this in-mind, Sony could make a "killing" here with a price-competitive product to help drive the market forward before it loses all steam.
not at all, it make puke due to calibration... and need the PS4 cam to localise the head (where other don't). it's cheap but great only on PS4... i would wait until cheaper PC real one come.
