Thanks for that DerSchniffles...
I've used the bfbc2 fov calculator before, it is handy..
Looks like they finally realised that they need to work hard on performance/optimization.
From SOE Smedley: ""team will be shifting their priorities...on optimization. It's unacceptable as it stands."
I still haven't even tried it because since launch I read about the bad performance. So maybe in a few months I can finally give it a go.
Wait no more 10fps while assaulting biodomes?? Best news ever.
I have a hard time figuring out why people are having such huge issues with the game. I rarely see PS2 dropping below 40fps on my system, and 30fps on my Q9450+HD4870 system.
Can anyone give me a clue of what this game is all about. I want o try it out if it is a challenging game and an adventurous one too. I have never heard this game name before and so seeking some advice here.
Wake me when game works as it should be... it seems nice
Been playing the new bases after the update... very big, and very confusing... i can't find my way in there at all.
Ah, what game this was before they ****** it up.
Probably the best large scale battles ever seen in a video game imo. 500+ players battling for control of key areas and strongholds. Can't get much better than that if your a FPS fan.
Indeed. I was playing when game was at its peak, when hossin was added and sony was running things. Thats something you dont see in games today, it beats out every battleroyal crap and much more fun than any battlefield.
Planetside 3? One day...
I'm surprised that it never took off in a big way. The tech behind it is still unmatched even today.
I could never get my head around the flying vehicles in this... like.. in bf2 i could do all sorts of crazy flying but with this it's just so confusing... also.. you never get a chance to practice, once you get in an aircraft and take off, you are destroyed by what I feel are people who probably have thousands of hours flying real military aircraft.
They eventually added a training mode so you could practice with all the weapons and vehicles. Fast forward to 2021 and the game has a single player story within the multiplayer. custom building and lots more.
I didn't know that... that's kinda cool.
I was one those. 16k kills and over 1000h spent on the sky with my scythe.
Anyway one of the best pilots and my ingame friend on EU server montage and at 3:00 starts duel vs me. Ah, great times.
That's some fancy flying. Just needs a tank to look up.
