Hey guys, I noticed this a few weeks ago but it didn't really bother me as I usually played R6: Siege and the fire don't occur that frequently. Recently though I started playing new Forza, and this glitch is annoying me as hell, because it appears on smokes aswell.

Drivers: 21.11.2 [looked the same on previous one too]

    Examples (open in new window):

    Full PC specification:
GPU: AsRock Radeon RX 580 OC 8GB GDDR5
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
    RAM: Goodram IRDM Pro 2x16GB CL17 3600Mhz
MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix B550 A-Gaming
    PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-650
    SSD: Kingston 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe KC2500

I haven't done any overclocking, everything besides GPU is 3 months old.

The more I think about it the more I'm getting sure it's software related, dunno if drivers or some Windows settings. Sometimes I feel it's not just smoke and fire, but also some textures are being affected but in really, really small way. It feels like even though I have scalling turned off, it somehow upscales or downscales things, I don't know. Any suggestions?

I had some blocky/square textures in Dota 2 with a RX 580 yesterday when using the new Halo Infinite drivers, but seemingly no problem with the Blender 3.0 beta drivers.

If you changed graphics drivers at all recently, that could be a cause. I believe AMD released a driver for FH5.

    1.

4:50 this is how this gas should look like, there's no way those floating pixels I have on my video are supposed to be there.
    2.
There's no comparison, I just can't believe this smoke looks that bad in this game.

    8 bit.

@cravenciak I know what issue you mean. I have seen it too when I had AMD card (6800XT), but on your pictures/video I don't see it. And it was only visible in specific games, not all of them.

Let's be clear, you can't see floating pixels on my video? :)

I have two monitors, tried with DVI,DP,HDMI it all looks the same on both.

dude you are downscaling what-ever-you-re-trying-to-show to less than 720p, and repeatedly asking the same question
    :D

    yes..

    PS
i did see some perhaps weirdish pixels at the very beginning of your grenade going off in your "pixels" video, but its not obvious to me that's not how its supposed to look

@cravenciak use PNG format when taking screenshot, not compressed JPG.

So what you see on the screen then? I'm talking about those particles that shouldn't be even visible
    [IMG]

This is how it should look like (and how it did look for me before), right at the beginning. The gas is pure and transparent, not with a constellation of andromeda inside...

maybe the game drivers are lowering the resolution for volumetrics ? is there a pro version of radeon drivers available ? I mean like studio drivers for geforce/quadro ?

I've seen that crappy effect in several R6 videos without even searching very hard.

And that proves what? As I said, I didn't have this 'effect' few weeks ago. It could've been caused by Windows Update or AMD drivers, obviously I'm not the only one experiencing it.
