Pixel Shaders 1.1? on ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 IGP?

    Hi,

    I was on the System Requirements Lab and my test showed:

    I didnt know that I had them!

    Forget about it... It is DX7 card and does NOT HAVE PS1.1. Bug or something, Radeon 7000 is not DX8 card.

    oh and when I require more than Pixel Shaders 1.1 it says I do not have it.

    That's just plain wrong. Radeon 8500 and up added DX 8/8.1 support (pixel shaders & vertex shaders).

    Wanna test that for yourself? Download ati tray tools. Install it... (IGP processors aren't supported... but you can still install it)
    Go to tweaks - standard tweaks. See how much can you force pixel shaders. It should be grayed out.

    We answered. Dr. Vodka said it right that PS/VS (DX8/9) support added in 8500 series and up.

    And if you want to see that yourself, install 3DMark01SE and run Pixel Shader test and Nature test. You will find out that those tests will not work.

    the IGP 7000 is a fixed function chip. in that sense it only has Vertex shader 0.5.. which translates to the TNL engine. some software confuse TNL with Pixel shaders....
