Yes , as you said : editing an INF file .

    Open 45.28?@" nv4_disp.inf " by text editor

    add :
    "%NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0040.1% = nv4_WSApps_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0040"
    to "[Manufacturer]"

    add :
    "NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0040.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro FX 4000"
    to "[Strings]"

After you do this , v45.28 will recognize the "FX4000" ?

    Run SPEC 7.1.1

It is "FX3000"&"NV35.DEV_0040.1" when not moving

Sure. You won't be able to unlock something on your board.

Hi Unwinder. I have two Leadteak A400 TDH boards and would like to beta test RivaTuner. My email address is wellerg@hotmail.com. I'm assuming you don't need me to run RivaTuner with the command line argument since you are developing it with the same board.

Would really appreciate it if you would allow me to beta test it.

Unwinder, I just went out and bought a Leadtek A400TDH Geforce 6800 after learning you had it. It is in the mail and should come by next week. If you want me to test anything, PM me. Thanks for your work.

    @ unwinder,

we have the following endings so far:
    13707, 1370b, 1370d, 1370e

Can you please give us a short update which endings might allow activating the pipes?

    Cheers

I have a different request along the same thread lines...

    Unwinder,

Currently I am in no big hurry to "unlock" the pipes, but I am curious if MSI sent out any more full pipe cards like they did to digit-life.

I have a MSI NX6800-TD128 and was floored by its packaging and performance. But would like to see if my wonderful experience is coming from a 16 or 12-pipe configuration, which is what led me to RT and this very active thread.

    /rr1540 switch reported this:
    256-bit AGP NV40 (A1) with 128MB DDR memory
    Reg 00001540 : 0001370e

Would this make me a candidate for beta-tester or my preference beta-taster?

BTW I know for a fact that www.chipsandmemory.com received 2/MSI NX6800U-T2D256 yesterday if anyone is interested.

Problem is that we only know - so far - which ones are 'bad'. For example, Desmondo's card is 1370b, and his is a bad card. Too bad, that's what mine is, too.

Anyway, the problem crops up because not all cards from a manufacturer read the same.

    So far, we've had:
    eVGA:
    13e0e, 13707, 1370e

    LeadTek:
    1370e, 13707

    MSI:
    1370d, 1370b, 13707, 1370e

All for the same model numbers in a given brand!

    I'm currenctly waiting for Unwinder's re-mail;)

Each card may have individual "potencies" for unlocking the pipes. I think the manufacturers are using the same bios for each of their 6800nu-s and doesn't separate them (this is what makes me think that "reading" the pipe set form the bios wouldn't be accurate and each card may still have a chance for unlock).
