I have started watching this video podcast recently. If you skip the extensive chatter and just get to the tips it's quite good. http://www.photoshoptv.com/ Also this site has some tutorials on it. http://www.planetphotoshop.com/ Just do a google search for tutorials or sift through the links within the above links.
Heres somethin i just threw together, its not very good but oh well, i didnt have nothin better to do:
Some nice stuff, although some of its using filters, which are frowned upon by many. People like hard work, heh. Anyway, some old and new stuff of mine: Sadly I don't have the time nor inspiration to do much anymore
Somethin i decided to do when i was bored. I do alot of my work when im bored lol. I didnt put a whole lot of effort into it, but here it is: EDIT: Not sure if iv posted this in the past, but this is somethin i did a while back, one of my favs! :
Something I did yesterday trying to learn how to create layer masks from channels. This one is a darker version. For some reason the lighter version with a better reflection in the water doesn't come out correct in a jpeg. I think it looks ok dark though, as if it casts a shadow. Big version. You can see I was able to select the sky around and through all the metal work in the bridge. This channel/mask/layer thing is so you can select hair and stuff without losing detail. I thought I might as well try it on the bridge. The really thin bits of vertical wire has been gone over, but it's only a few pixels so I don't think it counts.
