Philips: New 4K OLED TVs unveiled for 2021

Exactly that. People are crying about the possibility of burn in, but most of them haven't tried one. Once you go OLED, you never go LCD again. Also, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg anymore, you can just replace it after some years. And as long as you don't play the same static game, with the same OSD all day, every day and don't watch just one TV sport channel all the time, burn in just won't happen.

 

So...so long as you do not use it, then everything is okay?

 

After thinking i was sure i was getting an OLED TV i I ended up getting the QN95A last month, there is just no reason for me to spend £1-2k on a TV that needs ideal viewing conditions to looks it's best.

These do look like good screens though and always had a good experience with Phillips products. This bit stood out to me though "Remote control with illuminated buttons" annoys me that i have two remotes with my TV and neither has this.

 

Well, there are some limitations in the way you can use it, that is true.

 

That's what he did. Leave it on standby. It's what the TV automatically recommended to prevent burn-in. And I think it also had image shifting or whatever it's called.
