You have an i7, no game in existence uses all your CPU.
Yes it's the same files version but not same files size, why I don't know (x64 related I suppose), but I prefer to run the bigger ones and from official emplacement designed by Microsoft.
Disable High Precision Event Timer (HPET) in BIOS
My own result with DPC Latency Checker:
HPET 64-Bit ON: between 100-150us
HPET OFF: between 5-15us
I loss 3-4 frames per second, single card and CFX with HPET OFF, but I know responsiveness improved and chance of stuttering decreased accordingly.
Disable CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) & EIST (SpeedStep) or AMD Power Management equivalents in BIOS
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) & EIST decrease overclocking reliability, create DPC latency spikes and hiccups in some circonstances.
Remove AMD CCC.exe from automatic startup and/or kill process CCC.exe & MOM.exe before gaming (single card & CrossFireX)
CCC.exe is a DPC hanger, cause of stuttering, you can check that with Resplendence Tools & DPC Latency Checker. Shut down that stuttering DPC latency bitch and her mother (MOM.exe), you will get some additional fps from it. The slower your computer the bigger the increase in responsiveness and stuttering reduction, dual core benefit the most.
Right-click taskbar> Start Task Manager > right-click CCC.exe> End Process> right-click MOM.exe> End Process.
Install AnVir Task Manager to easily untick CCC from startup. CCC can still be opened from right-click on desktop to change settings if needed, just kill the processes again after your changes.
have you ever ran a bench with and without it? your cpu can run 8 threads, the games will use 2-4 of those threads.
seriously what is the op smoking?
Some antivirus create a lot of DPC latency.
You get it wrong, it's you that lacked oxygen at birth.
Please ban this idiot.
What's your (and others) problems here? Some of you seem to think that 3D Gurus are the ONLY people who visit this site? Get real. The guy is trying to help and by some off the comments appears to be doing just that. Post something constructive or troll elsewhere.
You should try taking your own advice.
Are you both working as a team? This thread is just BS.
It's bull**** because it's overreaching you. :uhoh:
Go back to your Big Bang theory starring. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=332293
Some people like myself know the real model of the universe. http://www.nealadams.com/nmu.html
Lol, your avatar suits you well, in fact I bet it's a self pic right? ..
Meh I'm not going to get into an argument with you..that won't help..
A pm to someone might tho.
I'm might just do that too if you keep trolling in here. We have no time to lose with some kind of 10 years old on father's computer.
@Von Dach: You should have double/triple/quad posted at the beginning to offset the 1000 character per post limit.
Yes I should have, but I don't think it will growth much more, I feel I mostly reached the peak of it in the last few days.
You're right, it won't grow much more. I can just about guarantee you that.
Well you gave me no choice, you are reported. I fully trust Guru3D admins rationality.
@Pill Monster: What's the problem? Was it the network and registry tips?
The only thing I have ever found to have any impact on the network is turning off interleaving. But the problem with that is if I try to connect to a weak server or one far away, I get dropouts.
HOW TO TURN OFF INTERLEAVING:
Call your ISP, lol.
Please don't tease me like that, it's hard enuf to keep my proverbial mouth shut as it is..
But I think it was around post #1 (or maybe line #1 in post #1) that I suspected we may have an imposter among us
That's all from me...
