I agree that it's not the best looking DOF, but for me , it looks better with it than without it.
For me the DOF is good.
The game does look MUCH better with it no doubt.:flip2:
Could you upload it PLEASE , I cant't be the only one who wants this:deflate:
i uploaded my dof scr file for you, its the same he has, same settings
just extract to documents/dying light
so that the folder structure is right..etc
or for teh ones scared of packed files, heres just the SCR file..

what's wrong with default DOF?
nothing wrong with it, but there is none, haha..
teh DOF is only in cutscenes and when u get bitten i think.
it isnt "ON" by default as standart ingame, like teh always on in doom3 u know..

As i am not fun of overused DOF especially when it's static (manual). I changed the DOF start distance and curve for DOF blurring Effect to start further away and with less intense curve. Now the DOF effect is much more subtle.

Doom3 had dynamic so it was kinda ok, but this static looks weird..
Anybody saw some FPS improvements? Can barely get a steady 45 fps and I get drops all over the place from 30 to 65.

maybe we can tweak the game close to the E3 footage
the sunshafts are reduced aswell :bang: and zero water realtime reflections

I tried the DOF (I use version 1.3.0). It's beautiful but very demanding. I get a lot of stutter. Maybe it's the reason it has been removed.
