    I'm pretty sure the stutter in AC is actually caused by shaders not textures. I turned off texture streaming completely in that game (everything was black polygons) and the stutter was still there. If I'm right the new NV shader cache feature should help a lot in DX11 mode, but I've not tested it.

    hi, does a active page file needed for this tweak to work?

    It should work normally without PF.

    That would be incredibly useful, thanks!

    idk. It's just 3 simple lines in AutoIt. But AutoIt does hook a lot of windows functions, the fact that it edits the registry might be enough for Chrome to go off.

    Here is exe-utility
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/aiudd2j3at03j12/LargePage_util.zip
    MD5 hash for zip-file: D0BD28AB9C538029D4047EFEF9A1499C

    It is .Net application built against .Net Framework v4.

    Left pane is for manual changes: toggling "UseLargePages" value, adding and removing app in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options".

    Right pane is for recursive search of apps and for selection of those which you want to add to registry. Multiple selection is possible. "Ctrl+A" selects all searched apps. Checked apps go into registry (and into left pane) on "Add" button click.

    Tried this for LOTRO and it seems to have reduced the hitching issue I have always had (even with this new rig) quite a lot.

    This is amazing, truly. Thank you OP for sharing this. Has improved my frames in ESO quite a lot. Hitching etc.

    A MUST for MMO's.

    Oops: I was in a hurry to leave office before security did close the doors, and I forgot to do protection against adding the app which is already in the registry. Will do it tomorrow. That`s not a big deal, because you`ll just see duplicated entries in left pane list (and not in registry, because it is impossible to make two registry keys with same names).

    Ok, guys... You can redownload utility.
    Change log:
    - protection against adding apps which already are in the left pane list;
    - left pane list now has the context menu through which you can choose the view style between 'List' and 'Details' modes;
    - in the left pane when you enter the app name which is already in the list and click 'Add' button, item with this name is selected - kinda search operation.

    The search function on the right doesn't work for me :(, is it something I'm doing wrong?!

    Is it possible to add a browse function, so you can select the base folder without manually typing it in?

    Is it also possible to have a save function for the lists on the left? That way if anyone ever needs to do a reinstall they can just load a previous list.

    BTW, thanks for this!

    When you start typing the path in the text editor on the right pane it should appear the list (under editor) which offers variants of paths to select - just like in Explorer`s address bar. I did not implement search of all exe-files on all disks. You have to start typing the path...

    It is possible to generate reg-file. I will look into this.

    lol! That's super embarrassing :). I was seeing the search button as a descriptor of the search area to the right. Once I clicked on it, it works fine :D.

    Ok. You can redownload exe - http://www.mediafire.com/download/aiudd2j3at03j12/LargePage_util.zip

    Change log:
    - button 'Save' was added to the left pane to generate reg-script with all apps in the list and to save script near the utility`s exe-file with name "exe-file.reg"

    Well, I did not toyed with those buttons` properties to make it more obvious that they are buttons. Sorry... Should I?

    Just ran the Altis benchmark in Arma 3.

    Without tweak: 55 fps and some hitching on the fast panning shots
    With tweak: 61 fps and no hitching at all

    Very impressive. Thanks for this, HarkinSteven and mbk1969.

    I'll try some other titles that occasionally hitch under heavy cpu load:

    DayZ - specifically cities, where fps tanks due to sheer number of objects rendered.

    Assassin's Creed IV - Intense ship battles

    7 Days to Die - Physics calculations during voxel destruction and texture/world streaming
