Ok every where i've been looking... review sites... online shops... the pictures of the ATI 9800Pro 128mb 256bit has pen markings on the capacitors! I mean even mine has them! what is that for?

  2. yea, my card has markings too. i think it's to signify that those components passed quality testing. that's just my educated guess though.

What pen marks do you mean?
I cant see any in the pic you linked.

Probably just something factory standard for safety or something.
Just a guess tho... i havent got my 9800pro yet :(

its more or less a pen then a sharpe, or some kind of marker that marked those components (they are seen on the transistors)

Those markings just mean that the component has passed tests and that it is ok for use on the graphics card :) , because if you look at all the transistors all of them should have a mark on them, meaning that their A-OK for use. Hope that clears it up
