Bioshock wasn’t supposed to be a successor of SS2. Also SS2 is a game from 1999 why you expect to be similar?

Yes Fear was better than Fear2 but still the pc have the superior version.

No. Pong. First game on console late 70s I beleive.
Atari 2600 < 80s Console.

I got into PC gaming with a Voodoo One in 1997.
I dont know when PC gaming began. I think around early 90s.

 

First game ever was in a PC. Well a screen a not a lot of more D:!. Pong was the comertial edition, but i studied that someone (*father of graphics*) made a homemade game in a screen with a cpu under it when they even didnt know how to paint more than lines and points (it was in some university).

The line between PCs and consoles when it began was so little. Since PCs only could execute one app, if the app its a game, theorically its a console no? .


We better say, PC is the origin 3d gaming (or games intending to look 3dish)


And when i say PC, i mean computer, not personal computer.

 

They sold it for a long time a horror survival game and said it was a spiritual successor to SS2 so one does expect a bit more than superficial similarities.

Didn't happen (nor did I expect to, ever since Deus Ex 2 I expect crippled games)...supposedly it had more depth to in in its gameplay at one point but because the play testers didn't understand the gameplay mechanics they dumbed it down.

Doesn't matter if the PC version of F2 is superior. The game was still made worse by being co-developed for multiplattform. It leads to compromises.
It feels like a console game on the PC.

 

Do you get it? id saying PC gaming isn't Doomed? id made Doom?
