Title makes it seem like these are 16GB sticks, they are in fact 16GB kits, so 8GB sticks. Nothing to see here.
We are a long way away from 16GB module 4400MHz memory sticks, may not see them intill DDR5, the highest i have seen in 16GB is 3733MHz and that's with pretty loose timings. If they did do it, it would be like CL 22/22/22/45 timings which would make them useless
Presently we're at 16GB 4000MHZ XMPs from OEMs - it's possible that those could be overclocked to run at 4400MHZ but I wouldn't know - You'd think so but chances are you'd have to loosen the timings quite a bit and add a reasonable voltage bump.
ОК, DDR4 3200 but a further increase above 4200 17 17 28 leads to performance degradation other than benchmarks!
Nice. I like the design but not the color scheme tbh. Btw, here's 32GB@4000C17 Gskill TridentZ https://i.**********/xjwG6v63/8700-K-5-GHz-Gskill-4000-C173-2.png
Pricing wise, if we take as an example the G.Skill Trident Z16GB kit 3200MHz CL16-16-16-36 (F4-3200C16D-16GTZ), which was €90 2,5years(Jun/16) ago and peaking at €215 a year ago(Dec/17), it can now be bought for ~€150. Plenty other cheaper kits available of course. I see prices starting from €100 for 16GB 2133Mhz, some 3000Mhz CL16-18-18 kits from €110-115, 3200MHz 16-18-18 from €125-130 etc. Now how far will the decline in pricing go, maybe another member can offer more insight on this since I haven't read much upon it. So it kinda depends. We can argue that if more RAM is needed immediately, then it's good a time as any, especially compared to a year ago, but still way more expensive from 2ish years ago.
