Im see on ASUS site about this mobo ( my actual MOBO ), and, the DDR2 Suported for this MOBO is 800 MHZ ( im using 667 mhz now overclocked to 700 mhz and with timmings 3.4.4.4-4 ) .
Is possible to put 8 GB of DDR2 1066 MHZ and the mobo see only 800 Mhz and overclock this to 1066 mhz or more ?
Or the mobo dont start the system ????

    Thx

It will work, but you will be stressing your Northbridge at 1066.

I'd run it at 800, and tighten the timings.

I put an 8x8 cooler on this northbridge, and, on south im put an cooler from other mobo, they are cool...
I have 7 cooler and 1 12x12 on my system, this is too HOT...and much overclocked.
I this i have stressed at max my system.
The PCI-E is working on double of MHZ
    The FSB is 2.0 GHZ
All values on bios maxed out...
I want put 8 Gb DDR2 1066 SLI READY and buy other 8800 GTS 640 and 1 ZALMAn VF1000 for primary, and, secondary remove the case and put an 8x8 cooler ( cooling mod )...
Thx for reply, im buying this later and try to put 1.2 GHZ on Memory... If this work too hot im mod an cooler from Socket 478 or 775 with thermal glue on Northbridge...

    Thx for help!

That will not yield better performance and you might damage your motherboard. Always keep PCI-E bus speed locked at 100MHz!

Increasing that frequency will only increase the max amount of bandwith your PCI-E slot can handle, which doesn't even get reached by your 8800GTS 640MB, even when it's fully stressed.

I'm surprised you haven't blown up your computer...

HEHEHE, yes, but, on next moth im buyng another 8800 GTS 640 MB. and my stupid mobo do SLI on PCI-E leaving ONLY 8x and 8x, with this tweak im want see how much my system can handle...
I have maexout the frequency of PCI-E...if this do nothing for only one card im leaving this now clocked to max...may plan is for SLI...
have 1 year my PC is clocked to this speed, and never shutdown the PC...aways clocked to max and with this frequencys:::

    Core2 Duo 6320 1.8 GHZ @ 3.4 GHZ
    FSB 1066 MHZ @ 2000 MHZ
    Memory 4 GB DDR2 667 @ 700 MHZ 3.4.4.4-4 ( WITHOUT DISSIPATOR, ONLY COOLER 8x8 )
    4 HDS HD080HJ Samsung on RAID0 ( 80 GB x 4 )
8800 GTS 640 MB KO ACS³
P5N-E SLI with 803 BIOS BETA
CASE ( created by me using wood, they like an SUTTLE, but, is much more BIG )...

Thx for reply, but, and, about the memory ???

YEAH, plz say your experiences...if you have trouble say all procedures, and, how to force MOBO to work on 1066 MHZ MEMORY...im looking for 8 GB DDR2 1066 MHZ, because my FSB is too HIGH!!! ( 2.0 GHZ )...

    thx

    Got them running

I got them running, but it took some work.
worked fine with 1333 fsb and mem 1066. When I tried to up the fsb at 1600 didn't post or freezed during. So I lowered de mems to 900, fsb to 1500 and boot up without problem.
So I start testing with higher clocks and ended up with:
    FSB 1600
    Mem 1000 5-5-5-14 CR2
    Using this voltages:
    Vcore 1.36...
    NB 1.38..
Mem 2.17... (the mem support up to 2.2 and the next avilable is 2.25)

Remember to put them memory sli option on expert from the jumper free config menu

The spp worked at 59-60º think I'm gonna need better coling for the NB.
Intel Burn Test finished 5 passes without error. Still need to test the setup on gaming thought to see if there is any stability issue.

I don't think I'm gonna try any higher than that, don't wanna blow anything up

By the way this are the memory modules I have
    http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_8500_reaper_hpc_4gb_edition

Hope it helped and works for you, if you decide to go for it

    Good Luck!
