konami wont go out of buisness anytime soon. They have gambling, health and mobile divisions. It seems to me they simply have no interest in AAA gaming anymore.
Either that, or there are some seriously spiteful people controlling the company right now.
Maybe you're right, had a check on their wiki page, they only have two games announced and upcoming! MGS 5 and pro evo.

Not as unlikely as you'd imagine. Also Konami's press release pointed to a mobile-first direction but not a complete withdrawal from other platforms, something they clarified only yesterday.
