AMD External Events Utility - is used by Freesync (i think, so leave it alone). To totally disable AMD Crash Defender Service You need to Disable System Device also (in Device manager).
Hello, is the software planned to receive an update soon? voltage control is broken for drivers newer than 20.5.1.
Hey guys, is this project dead? Im using the 0.30 beta and feels stable, but wondering if we get further updates for newer drivers?
I have two systems, each with two 580s and two systems with one 580 each. I've been mining a number of years now without a hitch but recently I've run into an issue where the two systems with two 580s would halt loading ONT if ran from a batch file at system startup unless the user logged in. Conversely, the two single 580 systems continue to work. To get around this I discovered the -consoleonly command where if added it now loads and Phoenix is off to the races. overdriventool.exe -consoleonly -r0 -r1 -p0"A" -p1"A" This was a great fix and coincidentally it fixed both systems which had the same fault nearly the same day however there now is another issue where GPU0 is not set but GPU1 will. I have tried the following: -r0 -p0 : No effect -p0 : No effect -r1 -p1 : GPU1 set -r1 -r0 -p1 -p0 : GPU1 set, not GPU0 So I'm at a loss and not sure what to do as it does this in both systems. I have tried drivers 19.12.1, 20.4.2, and 20.5.1 as mentioned above as being a very popular version. I've tried ONT 0.2.8, 0.2.9 and Poisson's 0.3B RBRT 2.2.5 version, all with the same result. Any ideas?
Can someone help me out, i've created 2 profiles 1 default and one with max, where its always using max freq and voltage, but as soon as i apply it it crashes my pc completely? Wonder whats wrong here, could it be my psu or something causing this?
for the dev of this tool . the bug with the 5700xt where the 3rd voltage doesnt set when used with drivers past 20.4.2 - the fix for this is the do the changes for GPU Clocks and Voltages in one call and do the temps and percents in a seperate call. this fixes this issue
I've been using ONT 2.2.5 with drivers 20.4.2 with my 5700 XTs mining RVN with TeamRedMiner. I've received a dag buffer issue and realized that in order to be in single buffer mode I need to use 20.9.1 or newer... but the ONT memory voltage setting has issues with newer drivers. Is there a newer version or, perhaps, something I'm doing wrong? Please advise. UPDATE: It appears that 20.5.1 is the new sweet spot with mining RVN on 5700 XTs. As the dag size reaches 4GB, TRM needs to run in single buffer mode. Driver version 20.5.1 - which I randomly tried - does support single buffer mode as well as ONT 2.2.5. Nice.
Hello, Iam using overdriventool 0.2.9 and 0.2.9 beta 1 but having an error "This GPU is not supported" XTX RX 580 8Gb
If I have to guess it's because your using newer versions of Adrenalin drivers. I have similar problem if I want to use AMD memory tweak with newer drivers on my Vega 56@64 :-(. I'll have to reverse back to Vega 56 I guess :-(.
Yeah, last windows updates broke AMD drivers, I have to use amdsoftwarecompatibilitytool.exe from here https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-300. So how I can find out which drivers compatible with win10 and OverdrviveNtool ?
