I am about to buy the Macbook Pro Retina. Don't see any other laptop out there that can match it. Hope the new OS works without glitches
Works fine. As with any OS upgrade you should always be wary of Apps that use some kind of driver hook. Little Snitch/Hands Off, any Virtualisation software or monitoring software. Again with any OS release, I'd always wait a month or two, make sure your software is up to date and then upgrade. Will save yourselves a lot of headaches in the long run. Having said that. I use it and it works fine. I think it may be the same in terms of speed, maybe a little faster. Again just some more polish.
Upgraded my 2010 13" MBP to it. And was able to get the TRIM Enabler to work perfectly as well for the Intel 320 SSD I put in it. Safari flies now, quite impressed with that. Messages is taking some time to get used to it though. I think I'll switch back to Trillian/Adium like before though. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it. The continued addition of gestures for the trackpad is definitely welcome too.
