[+] Starting from this set, I will use my own version internally for the Catalyst drivers, instead of using 6.1, 6.2, etc, I will be naming them 6.01, 6.02, etc, this will make the Cat versions less confusing and more "logical".[*] Updated Multires to v1.56. Downloading now, just some new features guys dont expect any performance gains in 3d over the 5.12s. Unless of course the Omegas are modded further performance wise than the 6.01 ATI official release.
I would like to know when I run Full screen games like World of Warcraft since installing this I have a FRAPS counter on my upper right screen I can't get the frick rid of
K i used Aquamark 3(on highest option settings) to bench with these, with the availabel demo measurement test. Using 9800pro 128mb K i did a bench with the 5.11 At the preset max graphics settings(Optimal Quality) my score was 38,309 At the preset lowest settings(Optimal Performance) my score was 38,312 Big drop from my 46,034 with the original 5.13s but the 5.11 runs nfsmw better still. I think this big loss though is due to the fact that i had an extra 128mb mem in at the time and now that mem is damaged so i'm back to only 512mb. Omega 6.1 MAX- 37,213 (seems like i lost 100+ points vs the 5.11's score) Hence At MAX quality graphics card settings-37,213 At MAX performance graphics settings-47,882(sweeet) So i'll be sticking with the omega 6.1(I rather the control panel over the cc in the original version) for now. To be safe i'm doing that bench again. After doing it again i got like a 30points diff, so i'll b sticking with these if they hold up in need for speed most wanted, which i'll be testing it on later at low and mid card settings. Cuz as far as i'm concerned benches can be decieving but as long as i've been using aqua 3, unlike 3dmark it doesn't seem to have any preference between ati and nvidia, which is a plus.
here are the results for the 3dmark05 Omega 5.12 6792 Omega 6.01 6846 Fear runs the same, COD2 runs smoother, NFSMW runs the same i'm sticking with these
Check tray tools This is the osd setting in tray tools. Can't remember which tab its in but it's pretty obvious. Just turn it off and the fps shouldn't appear in future. Regards Matt
Is wmv acceleration turned on? This is one thing which seems to cause problems for some people Regards Matt
