2002 but was around for at least a year before.

 

I couldn't remember so I just checked to see my sign up date as October 2006. Sounds about right.

It's the number one place for techy info and more importantly it is very well moderated so that people respect each other and there is always a community feeling around these parts. Long may it continue.

edit -time to change the old avatar. And this one is an oldy from 1999. My first real computer. A HP P166 for £900 from PC World with a whopping 16mb of memory. And I paid about £80 for another 16mb.
