It'll be 10 years next month since I first signed up here! Since the kids came along I havnt had as much time for PC's but I still drop in here when I can to see what's going on!
I remember you having the envy of Guru3D rigs for so many years back in the day. You always had some nice setups, always the best and shiniest hardware available on the market. Not the case any more, but you still run a nice setup Good to see so many people from years and years ago posting here
I been here for a few years now 03-29-2005 i always try to stop by a few times a week. Good to see you around mike and alot of the other "old gurus" too. lol at what wild had said "old and wise is better then young and stupid"
Ye same i joined back in 2004 at the time when i was NEWB and i though that FX5200 was better than GF4 TI4600 because 5200 is higher number haha the old noob times
Haha...omg the epic FX series. I can still feel the pain my Albatron 5700 U (as in Unable to run BF2 w/o lagging) caused me even today. lol It died a violent death while being tested. Tests that included things like vgpu voltage limit, max clock speeds, core temp things like that.
ye seems like FX attachment can do bad to product, look at amd FX and NVIDIA FX series, lol still remember i bought R9550 back then and it was fast for me, really outpacing fx5200 and 5500, ye had low budget those days i EVEN bought at one point MX4000 lol
GeForce FX 5900 XT user for a few months here, back in the day, there was a volt modding and OC thread for it here in G3D
Still have a rig based on a 6800 Ultra somewhere at home. Awesome card. Runs Crysis, too (just). Have a pair of old MX440s lying around, too if anyone remembers those, and a 9800 Pro.
I feel old... been here since 08-22-2003, 3 more days til my 10 year anniversary! Lol. Ah yes, I remember those old days. With my brand new MX440 capable of running Half-Life and Quake 3, thinking that machine was a beast beyond comparison. Oh the good old days.
I was clearing out my loft recently and came across boxes for components I bought from you years ago, s754 AMD stuff!
I do! ___ I still facepalm hard when I read my 2004 posts. Unbelievable stuff... Young and stupid, definitely. I'm almost glad that I messed up that account when I tried to change email.
That still makes me laugh . Does anyone remember Infestednexus? I used to always get a kick out of his link replies.
Good to see many of the original gurus show up. I joined May 2004. And All my years here have been sick free.
