I have been waiting so long to buy one of these things. It looks hopeless. I think I will buy the Nvidia 7800 GTX 512 Card. THe X1800XT is supposed to be a Beast-of-a-card, but I just can't wait any longer.........

They are available here in Montreal, Canada.

Maybe it depends where you live. Or the demand in your area who knows. Just a guess. But they're available here.

I'll get mine next week though ... need another pay check for that monster.

They really aren't supposed to be available until early October. The 512mb GTX is supposed to outperform it by quite a bit, and should be available on the 14th this month. It's msrp is $649 though, so it may be more expensive than the x1800xt.

Hehe, no need to call each other names. I was just on Newegg.com and I noticed that the X1800XT was listed on there, but when I click selected no product came up. But I would take this as a sign that they are getting ready to sell the X1800XT.

patience, patience...or if you just cant wait, get the xl and oc it to xt speeds. just like the x800s and x850s to xtpe....of course you wont have 512 ram but .....xl @ xt speeds is pretty damned fast!!!

i have my shiny new sexy x1800xl sitting here on my desk just waiting patiently for the A8N32-SLi to become avalible again, and my new OCZ4200EL-TCCD's to bring it all together ..... :)

NewEgg sold retail ATi boards for $599 apiece for about a week actually. Dunno why they took 'em down, but I encountered the very same problem you did. Checked up on it and the status is "temporarily out of stock", but that doesn't justify taking the page down... Something's afoot me thinks.

does it not feel as if ATI are fading out ?

too me it would seem that only ATI fans would purchase an X1800 XT knowing that in a few days Nvidia release the 7800 GTX 512..

if you wanted pure beef then Nvidia would be your best bet for top performance...

A friend from me has choosen to get ATI Crossfire over Nvidia SLI and I really dont understand why unless your a fan boy...

SLI has been proven and been in full swing for a long time ... Where is crossfire?

    ATI fading out ?

its seems ok to me, just goto www.microdirect.co.uk and search for it if the links still not working for you.

the price here is £377 for the 512mb 1800XT, the cheapest ive found before that was £469 from www.overclockers.co.uk.
