LOL! I wonder if that's legal I mean it should work out of the box without buying drivers from company.

I dont see why not, links to hacked XP CD version torrents are in the creative forums and were never locked

i have just paid £5.33 for the CD including delivery from Creative my ihnternet connection is not very quick not fast enough for big downloads so for me this is an easy option, Also i will have a CD if i re-install OS

i dont think of it as buying drivers its there time to put software onto a CD and to supply a CD and to post it.

Still no "proper" support for Vista 64 though, I want native 64 bit drivers not 32 bit ones :(

Also cant get the tray icon to work for switching modes which sucks.

I agree, hopefully it will happen with the full hardware implementation later on in the year

Just add the X-Fi CP to your quick launch icons, just as good

Because they are sending you a physical CD. (Although an iso would be better)

Unless they want to distribute the drivers (commit to their customers for product support) on their download site, please don;t talk to me about torrents!!!!

When new drivers are released, they suppose to be posted on the manuf. product support page, and not on torrent.....

Up to now I didn't check if they posted the drivers on their website (I am not interested anymore, I mean until now Audigy 2 is not fully supported by Vista no apps, no nothing......!!!!) - so if they posted the drivers which I suspect they did, ignore this comment...

But after this I am pretty damn sure I will get the Prelude....... at least they can handle Creative for us.....
