Just got the game,on the first mission the frame rate was bad and it crashed, but i updated my drivers and it feels far more smoother.

Just got past the pine valley mission, can't wait to play more later.

It does have a skirmish mode, click Multiplayer then Skirmish, click add bots - advance mode. EASY!

I just got it today :) I'm as happy as a dog with two dicks!!

The problem is that there aint no option that says 'skirmish' which I thought it was in the demo.
Its still possible to play tho:cheers:

    damn just tried it

    works like s*** to me

i'm running it in xp 32 with textures on medium everything else on high and i got really low frames (in the benchmark lowest is 8 average 27......) i wasn't expecting such low frames on a 8800......

    WTF???????!?!?!?!?!?

    in vista+dx10 even worse

with textures on high it's unplayable......

WTF are the requirementsfor this damned game!?

Texture in Company of heroes looked better and the game performed better!
Hope a patch will be released or a new driver release...

damn i'm only playing at 1280*1024.....

at 1280 x 1024 with everything max(DX10, 16xAF, 4xAA) i only got a 23fps average, the games ive played so far have been very smooth tho, doesnt need high frame rates.

if its unplayable on high textures it might because the game needs more than 320mb of V-ram.

I noticed that performance test in the video options menu is really testing your settings...as in very heavy action on screen. In reality you`ll get good framerates.

In reality you'll see very heavy action going on in this game quite often, so I'd say the test is quite accurate.

I played the beta and was very dissapointed, but after playing the demo this game is just amazing (i'll never play a beta again...they always dissapoint) it's just really fun to play. can't wait to get the full game, however i'll probably wait to get a new rig with DX10...which could be a while. i want to enjoy this game the way it's supposed to be.

anyway, anyone with a 8800GTX, Q6600, and 2GB tried this game? what sort of performance you getting with everything maxed out?

Well I haven't got a quad core, but the performance difference would be negligible if anything at all. As I said previously, I'm playing at 1920x1080, max settings with 16xAF / 16xCSAA and getting an average of 25fps on the benchtest. If I reduce the AA I'll gain a few fps, but sitting close to my HDTV with everything maxed is breathtaking.

The game so far - I've only completed the first three missions - has run flawlessly. As Copey said, the framerate may not be great but the game runs smooth, with no stuttering and only the odd slowdown. I'd say I'm getting around 30-40fps average in the actual game, which for an RTS is fine.

It doesn't even appear like the game is making full use of dual core, so I doubt a quad core would make any difference. CPU usage howers around 50-60%, pretty much no matter what.

damn that's pretty good, and even at that high res. i'll be playing at 1440x900.

really...not even dual core support? it can't be...

    EDIT:
this seems to indicate dual core support:

Hmm at 1280 * 1024 i get 37 - 38 fps average in XP 32 with my 8800 320mb, with the pre defined 'High' setting.

DX10 I can't comment on as I get driver stopped responding error no matter what settings I use :(

I don't think quad core will ever offer a worthwhile difference over dual core regarding playing games, well at least not for a long time anyway.
