at this point cold boot and restarts all sit on the welcome login screen to long, and i know it stalling cause i see my SSD/HDD led light stop flickering for a good 15+ seconds.. Cold boot 1= 50 +seconds restart 1 = 50 +seconds cold boot 2 50+ restart 2= 30sec cold boot 3= 30sec restart 3= 50+seconds It competely random/ even turned fast boot back on it made no diffrence so i turned off seeing it aways was I do hope there is update that fixes this, I still want to know wy this "upgrade" partition off my SSD for recovery when there was never one there. there should never be one there less Windows install actual partition the drive before installing. if OS upgrades like this start doing that, and reinstalling APP's we had uninstalled. it gona be huge annoyance to alot people.
Sorry I didn't tell you i have win 10 the last build and i pretend to use the win 8 key for the win 10 i use now so in that matter i will have a legitimate key on
Anyone have any problems with video drivers after the update? I was reading that this reinstalls video drivers. I had a freeze in Arkham Knight and I'm not sure if it was just a random crash or an overclocking side effect or due to drivers being reinstalled.
This just made my PC inoperable. This is worse than half-life episodic gaming! It went to install the update then : ta-da BCD error. Inacceptable MICROSOFT ! This seemed like an unfinished OS, UI wise, but come on now.... An update that makes my computer not being able to boot, definetly not fun !
it reinstall/reset the video driver that where installed. could be drivers+ OS update could be the game as according to the wb that game is unfixable,
had some instability too with TH2 it seems, reverted from the latest nvidia drivers back to anarions recommended 358.59 but still no go . Weird is the fact i'm just playing Blade and Soul and my card mostly maxes out @ 40% load, never had issues with RTM (TH1) so i reverted back just now, i will report back if it was indeed something fishy about TH2
I still haven't got it via update.. Weird. How long will it take? I've read it might come in scheduled waves, but dunno..:infinity:
I did the in-place upgrade with the ISO, and was really surprised that now in v10586, firefox and flash crashing issue (with hw-acceleration of flash set to enabled) is gone, completely! Previously i had to use certain driver files from amd cat 15.6beta or earlier. Now, not even an issue anymore. Even moved up to cat-15.11.1 beta and its solid. Don't know what they did under the hood, but i'm a happy camper. :nerd:

Spoiler Open cmd windows as admin and enter: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff then reboot to set DEP off Then try iso upgrade method. Just thinking it may have something to do with DEP EDIT: or just see if that temporarily solves the msvcrt issue with everything. Also if it gets it going, or not, you can just re-enable DEP with: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOn
A friend of mine had that error recently, though I am unable to know if it was due to the update. PM me if you want help in fixing it.
Yeah. Quite a few people are having issues but a lot are having no issues at all. Probably a good idea not to test your luck with it
I've installed Win10 on 2 laptops, a tablet and 2 desktops. It was stable on the tablet and 1 laptop. 1 Desktop was unable to run any 3D software and 1 laptop experienced constant BSoD's to the point of being completely unusable. The second desktop has been down since the upgrade due to CPU fan failure. If I can ever get my hands on a CPU fan for it, at a reasonable price, I'll find out whether it's stable or not. Until then, I'll let everyone else beta test.....lol
