They've fired that one guy that worked in Windows core systems probably. So there's nobody to fix stuff there now, only those who make new useless UWP apps.

That is not registry backup, while yes it is included in a restore point, many times restore points don't work.
The reg backup can fix unbootable systems.
IMO this is a bug as there is a Scheduled task for it and its enabled if MS deprecated it I would think they would remove or disable it.

As far as malware, it is also easy to delete restore points to.

Yeah I'm hoping for a quick solution before the weekend at least, hopefully the OS does another check and it'll be fixed without going through further hoops once the OS does another license validity scan which I think happens once a day or so on schedule. Think you have a few days at least before the OS starts throwing nag screens and doing other undesired stuff but Microsoft does have to fix it fast before it becomes even worse.

Lol MS delivers again. I reverted to 1607 and I can rely on my PC :p I added a 3 day delay to "quality" updates though, just in case they get pulled.

I'm surprised they haven't pushed a new CU to the slow ring for a while but wasting time on emojis for 19h1.

You don`t think kernel or shell bugs is fixed by the same team as makes emojis, do you?

Tweeter is not work place. They just heard about new emojis from colleagues at the coffee break, and then post about it to look more cool.
I would not talk about work in kernel or shell because that will bore followers` pants off.

Yeah, no. They actually do work on that sh!t and even more uwp apps at the same time. Considering the company's silence since the rollback and 17763 being nearly two months old, simple communication is expected and hard work to actually fix the problematic release instead of messing around with a new version and emojis.

Omg these donkeys are behaving with OEM's the same way they're treating us peasants.

    https://www.thurrott.com/windows/windows-10/191016/and-you-thought-the-1809-delay-didnt-hurt-anyone

"...this delay has had a material impact on Microsoft’s PC maker partners. And they, too, have heard absolutely nothing from the software giant."

"Microsoft prevent them from marketing any PCs based on Windows 10 version 1809 until that version ships. And since that version was pulled in early October, that means they’ve suffered for over a month with no ability to market their newest PCs. And with no word at all from the platform maker regarding when that might change."

Nvidia RTX is also MIA without a supporting OS.

*tee hee* ninja catz. No downtime for hustle as a service <3

It's time Dona was either fired or shuffled to the mail room, she can't do her job while being a wannabe fashion designer and model.

Getting tired of waiting for them to fix 1809. Does anyone know which 19h1 build has rtx compatability and spectre/meltdown performance improvements?

Current or skip ahead? For current I'm looking at 18277.

Anyone else have their start screen locking up or slow loading tiles? Gonna make the move to 19h1 especially if it gives me better cpu performance.

I hope that update comes through tomorrow, because I've had it with the standard file association bug and always having to right click to select "open with" and having to deal with their low effort built in applications.
