I turned off some of policies in WPD out of curiosity at my home edition of Win10, but I did not bothered to check for effects. Do you know ways to check whether policy is in effect?

Not really and hence I stopped bothering with it :)

but that's also why I'm curious about if WPD can do it.

I reckon WPD developers know better. I mean they should check the edition of OS, and read proper local policies (with their configuration states). I checked right now, and policies disabled yesterday are still disabled.

    Oh well.
(If only it could just grab the needed file or files instead of rebuilding the entire cumulative update which hammers the HDD, eh it's still pretty fast but renders everything else slow while it's working on that. :p )

    Close Firefox before rebooting lol

There is a setting somewhere for restoring the apps that were open when you rebooted but never seen anyone say it worked

Yea I never heard any working method for RS4, last I heard people started calling it a 'feature', thankfully LTSB doesn't have that 'feature'

yah i starting to lean towards consoles for gaming, i get tired of all this stuff MS is doing and the fact prices for dram cpu and gpu all seem to be going up, maybe next gen consoles will finally have the performance I require of my consoles

Your choice. I would avoid adding another syndrome to already problematic hands, would prefer to deal with OS strange behaviors.

yah click mouse buttons endlessly of 8+ hours day for 20+ years is why I have carpal tunnel in my right hand and left cause I played mmo for 20+ years were i click keys. at this point using gampad is less aggravating to my carpal tunnel.

my no wanting to deal with PC's OS at this point has nothing to do with it quierks at this point, it has everything to do with I dont want to be bothered with build my pc or installing OS or dealing with stupid that comes with them and the fact prices are going stupid in gpu world and dram prices are arnt any better, I just want to sit down and play my games no issues, at 1080p 60FPS which consoles still cant do reliably, and moment that happens and moment consoles "new" gen lets use play out last gen games and gens before on it via, disc or play digital catalog from last gen on new gen, with out having to buy them again, I will be gravitating toward consoles again,

Consoles are not capable of 1080p 60fps which is mindblowing to me let along 4k + 60 fps consoles need to stop using mobile tech cpus in them atm are not much more powerfull then the cell cpu the ps3 used, even clocked as it is that or Mobile tech needs to have some game changing break threw to match desktop tech.

Would be nice if it didnt sound like jet engine or have coil noise out the ass in the case of ps4 pro

I might have 4 k tv but performance hits to 4k are not worth it to me, 480p to 720p I see massive difference 720p to 1080p same thing ( this with uncompressed feeds)

1080p to 4k I didnt seen huge diffrence atlest not when I ran skyrims se @ 4k vs 1080p, which shocking to me, I did see my stable 60fps drop to 40's 1080p to 4k on tv which I would of thought a 6700k and 1070ti would be capable of it in atlest skyrim, ( or maybe it my mods that 4k in some cases causing it) I saw huge diffrence mostly cause 1080p on TV is compressed to crap unless it coming from bluray, same for 4k so 4K looked like 1080p should to me , a seeing as I never seen ultra bluray on a 4k TV yet I compare that, but I assuming that seeing I didnt seem much diffrence from 1080p to 4k in skyrim se I wont seem much from ultra bluray,

This from normal view distance from 8+ feet if I sit 2 feet or less in front of it then use I see the diffrence from 1080p to 4K

I use group policy to disable defender, is it not Avira itself turning itself back on after X minutes?
