[OFFICIAL] Windows 10 RS4 - Build 17134 RTM

Just updated tonight, had a nap and woke up to the message Windows update needs to restart the pc, I figured it was a normal update until the 2nd reboot , seems to be working a bit snappier tho, time will tell how stable it is I guess.

hmm Build 1803 is better than 1709 a lot of times, but unfortunatelly some old games don't works more same when I modify ISO or try make use of compatibility mode
Edit: so I continue with 2016 LTSB(C) for a while

NO bro since 1709 I see that some games don't works more so 1803 too, well one game is F1 2008 Delux until 1703 works but now no unfortunately

 

Just experienced my first issue, apparently Windows Media Player 12 is not installed properly in this update, I tried removing it and installing it from remove windows features but makes no difference, I keep getting the same message Windows Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled, Good job Microshaft!

 

The 2017 versions of win10 even had memory management issues according to the 7zip author https://sourceforge.net/p/sevenzip/discussion/45797/thread/e730c709/

Thankfully 1803 (this one) doesn't have it! 170x users, upgrade asap

 

Out of curiosity, why are you even using it? There are much better players than media player. I never even noticed this bug because I always install potplayer right away.

 

Just use Groove Music.

 

Settings > Privacy > Background Apps keeps reseting... Anyone else have same issue?

 

try use VLC instead WMP

 

Microsoft just dumped Groove for Spotify.

 

What? Just got an update today for groove , they added equalizer.

There are a few articles online, I chose this one at random;

 

It's just the music service that ended. The app's still around for local playback and I assume onedrive streaming.

 

Groove Music service ended.

NOT the app.

 

How's this compared to 1703? I assume drivers that worked on 1703 will work on newer editions too?

 

I have some light plugins for my ambx stuff that only works with WMP and it's not that I don't use other media players either because I do, I have iTunes on here and VLC and Foobar and I use MPCHC for my video's but the point is WMP was working before the update and now it's not.


update: I managed to get it running again, I have a plugin installed that resumes audio called Windows Mediaplayer Plus! and for some reason it was stopping Windows Media Player from starting up, just removed it and it's all working again, even my lights are working so just a bad plugin I guess.
