i was hoping the game would of been better. i loved the first one, it was so much fun driving around in all the exotic car's and wat not.

i was planning of getting the game at launch, but from wat im reading, i think im just going to wait a coulpe of days and get more feedback from people/players..

o well if it does end up sucking, portal 2 FTW!!!

 

well i like it..honestly, the first hour was horrible, absolutely gay, but after that it becomes fun (old tdu, great looking cars, highways and sun), especially the off-road it's a big plus to the game.

PS: the handling is bit better then the beta and it gets better when you play in simulation and with a gamepad (it's not realistic but good enough to be fun.)

i'm glad i tried it, cause it's a buy for me.

 

Yeah, you see thats the problem right there, the beta was great fun with a pad but $hit with a wheel( as in really rubbish ) which for me makes it worthless, i also bet they havnt fixed the off road driving where it just limits the speed but its like youre driving on tarmac as there was 0 bouncing.

So much negativity for a game that's not even been released yet.

Seems there's gonna be a 400mb patch out as soon as the game is anyway. That's good news to some.

 

It started arriving at shops and selling around last week (Thursday or Friday.) though most comments here likely regard the leaked Russian/English clone from a late (Close to the so called "gold" announcement.) Q&A beta version if the screens posted from the launcher window is accurate.

(First one is the main TDU section on Steam, second is the release discussion from a few days ago when some stores started selling the game.)

Unsure if anything will change with the release version though that patch sounds promising, tried the beta but got into it very late so only did some basic tests, what I saw was promising but rough, though focus was on MP connectivity and the more social aspects of the game for said beta and driving wasn't finalized though apparently it's not all that different from this version so handling and and realism is down a bit from how it was in TDU1 and it's more relaxed and social now with a more arcade like feel.
(TDU1 wasn't exactly a simulator or anything though from what I remember.)

Official release date is today if Gamersgate and Steam are any accurate (They usually delay at the last minute.) though apparently that's only for the US release date (Though as I said it started selling early.) and the EU one is on the 11th though I haven't found any official confirmation about this and the various store dates (Here in Sweden at least.) are pretty diverse as well.

 

I was in the beta. At first it was a POS handling wise. Even with a g25 wheel it was effin horrible. It was like I was spinning on an axis in the center of the car. But they actually did listen, there was a massive update and after that the cars handled better then the first one. Driving the ford gt was a blast at night in the rain. A bunch of us played tag in the rain at night. Quite hard and fun using a g25 with the clutch and manual gears.

 

People called nfs hp as crap but its a very fun game..probably this is same..a fun game but not a dirt 2 or grid here...

 

the first TDU was way better, while TDU2 has slightly better graphics and a better selection of cars.

the handling in TDU2 is completely screwed up, i mean how hard is it to improve the game and graphics while keeping the great handling that was in TDU1 intact?

some developers i'll never understand. :3eyes:

 

Patch seems to be out now for the official version, also Gamersgate released the game a bit early.

ok maybe i spoke too soon fixed the handling, it was the fecking Steering Damping thing, set it to 0 along with the deadzone, now it feels pretty much like TDU1.

getting the patch now.

with the handling fixed my opinion is that the game seem pretty good so far, ill have to play more to make up my mind.

they did, your speed is limited with a sports car, but with an off road car you can reach high speeds, and there is bouncing, the car slides on mud etc..off road racing is interesting..

PS: what does the patch do? i can't access some sites from work.

I dont care about negative technical comments or car handling, I'm sure these will be taken care of with tweaks or patches. But I'm about to vomit at the social theme, pool parties, clothes buying and other crap that takes you away from the driving (saw youtube clip). I hope its not a necessary requirement of game play.

 

its a requirement. there will be Social point take into account if u want to level up.

 

sk8 u play the unlegit version..tell me if game is good or not man...u played HP wth me alot..so ur words r valuable..
