Official Samung Galaxy S7 Thread

Anyone knows how to view surround shots (Photosphere, 360 view or how any other brand calls it) on PC? From what I've gathered the only way is uploading it to G+. Is that correct?

 

Flashing Official stock FW is easy as pie!!! Remember, this is not rooting and adding custom recovery, this is flashing Official Firmware and nothing more!

It would simply be a case of flashing another coutnry's FW, perfectly legal..

Its a case of downloading Odin, downloading Firmware and pressing go!!

Omg! I really love the themes function. I especially like the Android 6.0, Sci Fi and Black (awesome for AMOLED) skins.

 

You can change the DPI without root:
install adb
adb devices
adb shell wm density 560 && adb reboot
done!
Tested and no it does not trip KNOX
I saw this on XDA

 

Knox will be tripped only if u root, install firmware via odin or performing ADB commands won't do anything.

 

Weirdly, it sounds simple enough and far from the 5 page instructions I read the last time on XDA (hate that site btw, it's really impossible to understand anything there). Still unsure about flashing another country's firmware (say UK). Won't I have carrier issues and problems with the Play Store?

 

might be good for some people, this allows you to change the phones DPI without root. or hacking. I noticed coming from a Edge+ to the S7 Edge the DPI was to high on the s7, but with this, you can lower the DPI to 540, instead of 620(I think)

If any of you are like me and don't like being forced to take OTA updates that could jeopardize future rooting check this out!
Go to the Play Store and download Package disabler PRo and open it, let it do its thing. Its a paid program though. When its done, click on the 3 dots>disable all bloatware(root not required)>then click on the search bar>SDM, then disable both entries and reboot.

 

Just Got Mine..Here in our Country only the dual sim G930FD is available..

Flash a G930F Rom and rooted to remove OEM crap my carrier integrated in my phone..

 

i wanna root badly and i'm a root whore, but i'm waiting for fixes for camera and poor 3D performance that plague all 6.0.1 devices.

 

Just root it man...I can't live wihout root..Xposed, Titanium Backup and Lucky Patcher..ahaha

 

But if they won't fix the problem which plagues all devices with 6.0.1, i will leave sammy and won't look back, though that would be a shame cause the S7 Edge is pure awesome.

 

I seem to notice that wifi speeds slow down to a crawl when BT is enabled as well. It seems 6.0.1 related.

Sammy has a lot of 6.0.1 issues, people who rooted do u have Deep sleep issue or is it fixed with Supersu 2.68?

 

nope, you won't have any issues.. As a precaution download your country's firmware too that way if you decide to go back you have it there.

 

I have no root. Just original software. I did the initial OTA update (Edge screen) upon first boot, did a hard reset after that.

When my wifi comes to a crawl, turning off BT fixes it. But other than that, the phone did not aggravate me even once, unlike the disaster called W10M on my L550 (although running the official .168 build really made that phone snappier, only took MS 6 months to accomplish that).
