@Austyn: It always goes over the line, even in highest difficulty XD Keepers are awful so far, from my experience.
@twoodster: Interesting. I'll see what this is about.

I've (slowly) downloaded it after a few tries. Can't reach Konami's site and there's no changelog anywhere.

Nope, stupid konami. Still the resolution patch and kitserver 7.0d fixes the problem.

You gotta insert your PES2008 DVD while installing the patch because it uses the installer thats on there.

Online mode is stilly laggy anyway :( too bad.

The 169.04 drivers are a major improvement. Besides that I downloaded an update of the directx runtime. One last thing that I am going to try is this hotfix - it at least sounds promising: link.

By the way, the wireless 360-controller seems to have major issues as well, especially in this second controller option (~direct input or something like that solely for the 360-controller, in the PES settings). It looks like it's draining your system resources.

One question for you wizards: when I set the Vertical Sync on my graphics card to Force On for PES 2008, do I have to tick the "Wait for Vertical Sync" in the Settings as well?

About the commentary, have to agree it's bad, even though it used to be even worse in the older versions. Anyhow, if you're not afraid to modify your installation, you can download a custom pack of commentary, real names and logos, etc.

It usually hits pretty soon after the game release. Give Kitserver a few more weeks to get a hold on things, And we'll have some of those things quite quickly :)

@ArbenDB: Yeah, Had that hotfix installed, It's on nVidia's recommanded hotfix list (on their site). I'll try the patch and the .04 drivers, Already installed the november DX runtime.

I was talking about older versions of the game. I haven't had the opportunity to lay my hands on a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 yet, so I haven't been looking for mods either.

Turn both V-sync off in the game settings program and make sure your graphics card settings does not have V-Sync forced on.

Why do you want to play it at more than 60 Fps? Just enjoy the game.lol

BTW: I think that most sports games are capped at 60 Fps so the action doesnt get any faster.
