It s not decrease life of your hardware, if you cool it... and it's not a little OC of 100-200-300 mhz will damage your CPU.. just verify your system don't heat too much..

Alright another member from New Hampshire, I'm glad I'm not the only computer geek here, lol! So welcome to Guru3d, nice to have you aboard! Nice score, what is your cards stock clock speed? eVGA has so many 7800's it's hard to tell what the stock clock speeds are anymore, lol! Mine came at 470/1100 (Of course it's not as that speed anymore)!

    Hey Bryan,
I see your rocking a new GTX you lucky bastard! I'm still using the old 7800GT but I've recently done a hardware based v-mod on the GPU and VMEM which has given the card a little more life and higher clock speeds! Besides my old graphics card I'm pretty happy with system. Now that I've really gotten a good handle on the Expert I love it, best motherboard I've ever had (Thanks to you for helping me to take the plunge to DFI)! Since I last talked with you I picked up a 1GB kit of Mushkin Redlines (older UTT moduels, 3.3v-3.5v) and I love them!

I havn't as much time as I'd like to tweak and test (Half-way through my last semester of collge, heah!!!) but I've got this whole week off for March vacation so I'm going to make up for lost time.

So what are you running your 148 at? Also what stepping is that Opty of yours? I wonder if we have the same one? I'm at 2.805Ghz with RAM running 1:1 @ 255 2-2-2-5 on 3.31v and I'm 24hrs+ prime stable. I'm in the process today of stepping it up a notch so I'm gonna flash to a different BIOS version to help. Well take it easy, talk to you later man, it was nice to hear from you!

    mascaras,
I'm not sure if your know or not but you covered your scores with the CPU-Z screenie, what were your scores for both runs? I must say I'm pretty impressed at your clock speeds of 565/1800, that is uber high especially with stock cooler! Good job, can't wait to see those scores! Also how stable is your card at those clock speeds!

If you get the time please fill in your system specs so we can all see!
