Ok guys.. AP Polls are out, and we have less than 2 weeks till we are wide open!!! 1 Alabama 2 Ohio State 3 Boise State 4 Florida 5 Texas 6 TCU 7 Oklahoma 8 Nebraska 9 Iowa 10 Virginia Tech I really wish I could figure out if the people that vote this way are on some sort of drug... Anyway I still can't find that game to watch anywhere at any time other than ESPN Classic in a few days and I refuse to sub to a sports package with Dish to watch just that one game for that one channel when I used to have it in my current package.
Alrighty then....I guess it's time to flush Digital Jedi out by picking on Michigan a little  Looks like the linemen captured a couple Hobbits LOL looks like RichRod is finally starting to recruit WV style talent!
lol, that's my avatar from the OSU forums. Haters gonna hate! Getting antsy now.Sept.2 is so close.Been watching practices on the B10 Network all week. Do you fans from other conferences have TV stations? The production is a bit lame, but it's really cool to be able to see past games, league specific features, and practices.
First- concerning the above posts---- OSU hates Michigan because OSU respects Michigan.I'm sure the feeling is mutual. That's why it's a rivalry. We've owned them in the Tressel era, They owned us in the Cooper era. All the smack talk is in good fun, but there's always a hint of truth too.The hate is real/ the respect is real Observers fom other conferences are often mislead into thinking "bad sportsmanship) (^Sava) but the reality is, "True sportsmanship" This explains better, and nearly brought a tear to my eye.Michigan fans, and OSU fans should appreciate this...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PymIQ3BuNYA next: BIG 10 Realignment I know there's lots of B10 fans here, and I'm interested in all your thoughts. Is Delaney hurting, or helping. Wisky and Iowa have already been separated. That seems like a done deal. Thoughts?
One more week!!!! Here's a good link for the CFB TV schedule http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm
Your rivalry "last game of year" may be ending very soon.. I still here they are in talks with the conference splitting much like the ACC has with a division split that could make a big difference in how the GAME is played. Also your youtube video I believe is the beginning to the HBO series special on the two teams.. great 1hour long talk about it! Anyone wanna do Picks all season based on the AP top 25teams? Keep tabs of records and see who was most correct at the end of the season?
I've heard that show is great, but never had a chance to see it. Are you talking about picking the whole season for those currently top 25, or doing the T25 week by week? I'm in for a weekly pick, but IMO, top 10 would be much less time consuming.
Well look at it this way, even doing the top 25 your prob only picking 15 or so games anyway since most games are against other ranked teams. I'm all for the top 25 of that week such as this: Thursday Sept 2nd 2010: Marshall @ #2 Ohio State - OSU wins Florida A&M @ #13 Miami(FL) - Miami wins #14 USC @ Hawaii - Hawaii wins #15 Pittsburgh @ Utah - Pitt wins Saturday Sept. 4, 2010: San Jose State @ #1 Alabama - Alabama wins Miami(OH) @ #4 Florida - Florida wins #5 Texas @ Rice - Texas wins #24 Oregon State @ #6 TCU - TCU wins Utah State @ #7 Oklahoma - Oklahoma wins W. Kentucky @ #8 Nebraska - Nebraska wins E. Illinois @ #9 Iowa - Iowa wins New Mexico @ #11 Oregon - Oregon wins #12 Wisconsin @ UNLV - Wisconsin wins S. Carolina St @ #16 Georgia Tech - GT wins Tennessee Tech @ #17 Arkansas - Arkansas wins #21 LSU Vs. #18 North Carolina - UNC wins Youngstown State @ #19 Penn State - PSU wins Samford @ #20 Florida State - FSU wins Arkansas St. @ #22 Auburn - Auburn wins LA-Lafayette @ #23 Georgia - Georgia wins Coast Carolina @ #25 West Virginia - West Virginia wins Monday Sept 6th 2010: #3 Boise St Vs. #10 Virginia Tech - VT wins
Ohh and a request if anyone has ESPN Classic, there is a game playing Sunday at 4pm EST between Nebraska at VT, can someone record this to DVD or upload it for me?? I'd be more than glad to pay for the shipping costs but I can't find this game anywhere else to watch it and I don't want to sub to a sports package on dish just to watch it.
Yeah, I just gotta find this game somewhere else, I find it hard to believe after all the searching I can't find a place online to watch ESPN Classic lol+ Edit: Anyone know if ESPN sell's games on DVD from a official source???
OK, Here's my picks for week 1 Alabama > san Jose St. OSU > Marshal Boise St. < Virginia tech Florida > Miami (OH) Texas > Rice Texac Christian > Oregon St. Oklahoma > Utah St. Nebraska > WKU Iowa > Eastern Illinois Oregon > New mexico Wisconsin > UNLV Miami > Florida A&M USC < Hawaii Pitt > Utah Georgia Tech > S. Carolina St. Arkansas > Tennessee tech North Carolina < LSU Penn St. > Youngstown Florida St. > Samford Auburn > Arkansas St. Georgia > La. Lafayette W. Virginia < Costal carolina I really have my heart set on watching "Bull Sh!T U" get smashed.Your boys better not let me down Sava!
LOL I'll be at the Stadium bright and early..all day event!! We've got another weapon for use that night, Tailback Wilson will play and not red shirt so this is good news since he's very very good and powerful! He will see the ball alot on special teams! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5513604 Tyrod also had a very awesome final scrim day, 16 for 17 passes with the missed pass a throw away, he will obviously be ready! http://hamptonroads.com/2010/08/hokies-camp-2010-vol-25-final-scrimmage-report Thing that's got me wondering about this game is weather, Hurricane Earl is passing by a day or so ahead of the game but Fiona may come up right after that with a more western track bringing rain and wind... I'm thinking a windy night will hurt Boise more than us since our running game will be stronger.
Ok I have no axe to grind with Boise St....but let's be honest...how many losses do you think they'd have this year if they played in the SEC, Big 12, Big 10 or Pac 10? I think they'd lose atleast 2 conference games in each of those conferences. They're a good team but the grind of playing good competition each week would wear them down just like everybody else.
Big 10 divisions setup. Division 1: Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Minnesota Division 2: Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois Protected crossovers: Michigan-Ohio State, Penn State-Nebraska, Minnesota-Wisconsin, Northwestern-Illinois, Purdue-Iowa, Michigan State-Indiana. Other games on the final regular-season Saturday in 2011 include: Indiana-Purdue, Iowa-Nebraska, Michigan State-Northwestern, Penn State-Wisconsin and Minnesota-Illinois. So Minnesota-Illinois is the only other cross-division game on the final Saturday of the regular season.
