oh, I guess I am a bit thick, then. I really didn't make the connection until today...lol. I just haven't seen anything saying it was a sequel or "see what made Ray become the crazed Preacher..." & such.
I am loving the game. Mostly I play as Thomas...I like the knives.

Yo guys! How's this game? Better than the first? Is it 2 players? Can I go to best buy and buy this game after work?

It's more action oriented than the first game and while you can select to play as either of the brothers (Different skills and abilities, learned rather quick.) in most chapters (Which are further divided into a few acts for the entire game, think it's five or so based on what I've read.) you can't play co-op, atleast as far as I know.
(There are some regular MP content with a few different game modes, some basic classes with more that can be unlocked, each having different equipment and statistics, covered in the manual a bit better.)

you have to choose which one at the beginning. You cannot quick switch.
I like the banter between the two guys...pretty funny.
You can also shoot chickens, buzzards flying over head, cows...it's pretty funny.
If you shoot some chickens, the other brother asks you "What did that chicken ever do to you?" lol.

2 beautiful shots from my game. Everything maxed out, AF 16X, AA 4X, Ambient Occlusion ON (forced through nhancer), VSync ON. It looks fantastic and never drops below 45-50 fps.

Looks pretty good, shaderlord, but unlike you I'm going to be enabling V-Sync and triple buffering as I'm not having my game ruined by ugly screen tear. I don't know how anyone can play games without V-Sync personally.

I have V-Sync ON at 75 fps and triple buffering enabled through Riva Tuner D3D Overrider. It looks like Crysis in some places after the tweakings. 2 bad it isn't DX10. Also, ambient occlusion looks gorgeous in this game.

Real helpful stuff! Do you know if any of those dev commands disables the crosshair?

No (But the debug command menu can disable all sorts of other stuff.) but the game textures are located in the Data1.pak file so fixing that should remove the crosshair, alternatively the Data0.pak file might hold something that controls the hud, bit cleaner but not as easy as just finding the texture and "erasing" it. (Blank it and make it transparent via it's alpha channel, should work fine, I'll give a try myself just to see if it's doable.)

EDIT: Finding the HUD texture was pretty easy (Data0.pak\Data\Menu\Hud\Textures\Hud_New.dds) but it seems it won't read it unpacked so it'll either require a separate DataX.pak file (In order to load last, pretty sure it's depending on the filename.) or the actual Data0.pak file will need to be changed, need to test it a bit more.

EDIT: Tested a few things, seems that isn't the correct file.

AA doesnt take such a hit, i was quite surprised the way it ran, nothing like the first pos.. avg fps around 70-80 with some drops to 55ish when there is allot of blurring and particle effects... the only performance impact i saw when i used shadows 2048 then the game averaged around 60fps

But damn i still see this crap filtering although i selected Aniso trilinear, its when i walk i see this fine line in front of me (aka bilinear aniso), its the same if u use only trilinear and force af in driver...grr..

and one more thing object LOD sucks, like in Crysis and i cant change the distance...

    here're my settings

Thanks for the effort, I tried messing with a file called HUDTextures.def (locate in Data0.pak/Menu/TextureDefs. But I ended up with a red square instead of a crosshair

Lovely shots, although I notice the self-shadowing across that woman looks a bit low-res and nasty. Gorgeous otherwise though.

You have roughly the same setup as me although you're running the game at an insanely high resolution. What framerate are you getting with that (I'll be playing at a lowly 1680x1050)? Ta.
