Well actually most of it is taken from what I knew about the first Juarez game and the settings are fairly easy to figure out, the "tweakguide" for that game also helped a bit for the sequel.
(Same engine but version three compared to Bound in Blood using version four of Chrome Engine.)

I'm not sure how you'd do it for ATI cards but with my GTX 280 I just set the AA compatibility flag to STALKER for the game profile using nHancer.

I had to create the profile first though because the 186.18 drivers didn't contain one. Once I'd created the profile and set the AA flag, it was just a case of forcing AA through the game profile using the "Override" setting. 2X AA is fine on my system but 4X AA causes a big performance hit at times.

Just finished reading this thread and now I want to buy this game so bad that cannot wait when my office hours are over. I hope it is available in Canada.

Forgot to ask you one question. If for some reason I will not figure out how to do changes for AA and AF will it still look good on resolution 1920X1080.

The "AnisotropicTrilinear" and "ShaderPath" keep reverting back to Bilinear and 3 whenever I launch the game...any way to make it stick?

    GTX 295 QUAD SLI issues

Im having issues with GTX 295 Quad SLI, game is slower than it is with 1 card, and it has very bad lag with the mouse. Anyone know how to fix this, or anyway around it?

For filtering I'm a bit unsure as AnisotropicTrilinear should work, though try normal Anisotropic to see if it works (They're basically the same though without trilinear filtering, might not really be noticeable.) and for Shader Model the game only supports SM3 though the engine can do DX10 (Was patched into the first CoJ game.) but this game doesn't have that feature. :)

what you mean by "reverting" ??
you mean on the config game itself????

I had a problem, if you change anything on the first part of the config file, when you start the game all values will revert to default and you get a new file.

I was trying to enable vsync by just uncommenting the line; but got this. Instead, I had to copy and paste the line on the bottom part to make it work. Maybe it's a bit tricky to fool around with the file.....

Mine dosen't revert to those values......

Well yeah in-game I dont see any change, and I look in the options and Filtering is Bilinear, so I go back and the config is like that with the shader at 3?

I've mirrored my config exactly like yours so I have no idea...

Maybe you don't see it bc it's not on the menu show the game ;)
however, I just left it as it is; SM 5 and answithtri whatever........

    the game just look terrific......

are you on MP already ??

I guess I can just assume it will stick and not bother going into the Video options for fear of changing something...however it does look great but I'm not sure I noticed any difference from "Anisotropic" to "AnisotropicTrilinear" and Shaderpath from 3 to 5.

And yes I will be on MP today, what time are you on? The game is amazingly polished and just unbelievably fun, I can't remember the last time I was so engaged in a game's story and gameplay like I was with the Single player mode.

MP is some of the most engaging fun I've had, it reminds me of a 19th century TF2.

    Anyone?

I tried the physx update and the redistributable. Both didn't work. I needed format anyway so I thought the game would run fine after the format. No luck. Game still crashes every 5 to 10 minutes. Still the same problem. Image freezes but the sound keeps playing on. After another 3 min the sound freezes as well and the game crashes entirely. Have to wait 5 minutes before I can go back to desktop.

At the moment on windows xp (untill 7 comes out)
    Nvidia driver 190.38 just updated.
Creative newest driver 2.18.00000013 or something
    Newest intel chipset drivers.

For some reason I can't bind my "\" key to run, which is what I use in almost every single game I have to run or sprint with!!!

Anyone know how I can get vsync to work?

I have an ATI 4850 and I can't force it through the control panel options and when I edit the !VSync() line in Video.scr to be VSync(), all options reset and the Video.scr file resets as well.

DO NOT touch the first part of the file.
Just copy the !VSync() below (where the real parameters are) and uncomment it

If you play w/ the commented lines above, the file gets deleted and generated again.

    vsync works perfectm tha way

I've been playing the whole weekend and the SP it's just great,

    I haven't tried the MP......

Anybody knows whythe framerate downgrade itself?
In the first action screen, without doing nothing, my FRAPS shows 75-85 FPS.
About 30 seconds after, it downgrades to 18-20 FPS.
The CPU has a 75% of use.
I thought it could be the Nvidia Drivers, but not!
I have the laststest BETA and the same thing happen

    I have a CD2 E6600 + 4 GB RAM + EVGA 8800 GTX 768MB - X-FI ExtremeGamer on a XP32 SP3.
