Seems that your SLI is not working and you are running 06 on only one card. With my sinlge card (stock settings) I have the following score: 3Dmark: 2,315 SM2.0: 983 HDR: 900 CPU: 848
2411 Link: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=15940 Image: EDIT: Any other x8xx'ers want to post their compare links? Does mine seem low at all? Right on par with a 6800GT, but I thought it'd do better. Perhaps the lack of sm3.0 support ay.
Damn, this thing really is hard to machine. I get only 1701p with oc'ed x850xt (still get 6500 from 05, had to check). I guess it's lack of sm3.0 and because my card can't run those and HDR tests.
yeah, 06 seems overly hard on the x8x0 series, they are great performing cards, but it makes them look really sucky.
No real need to post again, but I felt that I should be a little more detailed. Anyway, again 82.65's, i ran msconfig so I could run without startup items (reduced my running processes from 45 to 16) and ran a default bench. Results: SM 2.0 Score..................1706 HDR/SM 3.0 Score............1673 CPU Score.......................857 Total...............................3687 Strangely with less than half the processes running than my original run, the marks are pretty much identical. What gives? I just can't help but feel that my machine is performing substatially under par.
Just increased my score a bit... http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=15750 EDIT: Wow, according to ORB i'm one of top 3 in its class (Athlon XP/M/4 CPU 2,2GHz-2,3GHz with 6600GT 128MB). Not that bad hehe
Tell me about it. An x850XTPE will outperform a 6800U in almost every game (save the d3 engine) by a reasonable margin, yet they are still getting higher scores in this benchmark. It's making the benchmark lose credibility. Stick 6800U in my system, no way it will perform as well as my current x850xtpe. I remember when I had my 6800GT @ 440/1200 it came nowhere near to my current card... a little disappointing to say the least. Also, what's with the no new demo's and all just redo's of the old one? Looks like a somewhat half-arsed job to me.
Not really. x800 doesn't have SM3.0 and thats it. It's like trying to run 3DMark05 with DX8 hardware and expecting to see SM2.0 effects on it (and same score as SM2.0 hw). Things simly don't work that way. 3DMark is not all about score and framerate but also support for extra features and functions. And SM3.0 certanly falls into this category.
The reason the 6800U probably scores higher is that it supports SM3.0 and the X850XT doesnt. This benchy is very shader heavy.
2823 with my sig system at high performance, 2753 at quality. Biggest thing is my dualcore, getting around 1800 cpu score
Wow i just ran it for my first time defualt everything no overclocks and without any tweaking heres my score getting watercooling thsi week and gonna learn my way around all this new hardware to O/C everything then see what i get 3d mark 06 6,241 3d marks http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=16830
I agree. They didn't put much thought other than adding a few tweaks to the same old stuff. Aside from the 1 new area. 06 seems to rely heavily on your RAM also. It seems to like 2 gigs. I'll post after I set it up. Although I'm running a Venice at 1.8GHz because I can't OC :-/
Ok Peeps.Did 2 runs 1st run , forceware 82.65, CPU @ 2533 = 4090 (GFX 450/1255) 2nd run , forceware 82.65, CPU @ 2645 = 4136 (GFX 450/1255) http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=16840 for 2nd score
Yes, but this time around, 3DMark isn't an accurate representation of the older generation cards' performance in todays game. The 6800 series are whipping the x8xx series in 06, yet in real-world performance, a stock 6800u couldn't touch a stock 850xtpe as far as frames-per-second go, except for, as I mentioned earlier, Doom3/Quake4/Prey/D3 Engine/OpenGL. Dunno... I've always looked towards 3DMark as a guage to how well a card performs in GAMES, which is kind of silly as I should just look at game benchmarks. Or perhaps I'm just feeling bitter about how we x800 owners got the short end of the stick. Over at XS, they are pretty steamed too.
