Some minor tweaks, OCed core to 335 got max GPU temp of 53c. New score, dont think ill get much higher then this: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=12505 And i just noticed somethin, in my first bench my CPU got 862 marks, and my second bench got 830 marks. But i got a higher score on the second, but why would my CPU marks have lowered?
I scored 5567 with an OC of 785/1800 and my CPU at 2.8Ghz I havent seen a single GTX 256Mb touch that yet......and I still have some head room to OC the GFX and the CPU with my liquid cooling system
it does, but not by much. as i said before, cpu speeds are not what will change your score drastically. the difference between a 2.2ghz AMD and a 2.8 AMD is very little (just look at the CPU test scores), but throw a 2.8 AMD vs any 2.2 or up Dual core AMD, and the dual core will trounce it (relatively). this test is mainly for the video card (which you get average ~4000-5000 for single cards (talkin mainstream 7 series geforce or x1800 radeon here), and double that for SLI setups. so basically, cpu scores might boost you 100pts if you OC your proc. but youll get much more performance from OCing the vid card or going SLI. hell, as i said before, i bumped up my vid card 10mhz and gained 114pnts (and that wasnt on a fresh reboot either). and ATI/Nvidia fanboys, dont start this geforce is faster than radeon and vice versa crap. dont hijack this thread into some childish flame war. i made it to post scores and talk about getting better performance for each indiviual rig. you wanna go set flame bait for eachother, make your own damn thread.
Cpu has a lot to do with scores if the cpu is a bottleneck, the more you oc a bottlenecked processor, the higher your scores. If the processor isn't the bottleneck, it will not help you to oc it. SLI will not double your score in 3dmark, it never has, and probly never will. 6443 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=12967 500/1200 Just read some other threads, and maybe oc'ing isn't as important as 3dmark05, but dual core seems to help a lot.
I could use some advise... check up for my score... (904) I have no idea why its so low. there is another 6800NU at 1700 for a score... why is mine so low? any takers
UPDATED SCORE 3DMark05 Score - 6125 SM2.0 Score - 2538 HDR/SM3.0 Score - 2531 CPU Score - 2061 3DMark06 - 6125
For my second run with my 7800GT at 500/1170 I got 4475. 3DMark = 4475 SM 2.0 = 1781 SM 3.0 = 1763 CPU = 1897 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=11753 Do you guys think going from 1 gig of ram to 2 gigs will have any impact on any of the tests?
I got around 1418. Did you have AA and AF turned off, and system performance set to performance? I didn't (doh!). I am going to re-run tonight with both stock and overclocked card settings (you should be able to make at least 390/790 stable). I am interested in your results as we have fairly similar setups.
Strange thing i noticed, guru3d benchmark of 06, uses 5.12 ati drivers, when 5.13 are approved, Anywayz 6.1 drivers are out now.
I am barely notching above 2400.. gonna go for a rerun, see if i can do some tweaking, getsome better scores.
82.65 nVidia drivers default clocks (430/1200) 36xx (sorry it was hours ago)..... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY MACHINE.. forgive the outburst, but for a while I just assumed the ASUS 7800GTX was a crap card but i've seen others in here with one, and a lower CPU than mine make 4000+..... i just don't get it.
