This is exactly how they want you to feel. As long as you can play your games in decent setings, you shouldn't worry about a thing. Sam
6800U A64 3500+ SM 2.0 = 956 HDR/SM 3.0 = 1668 CPU Score = 861 Overall Score = 2282 Athlon64 3200+ @ 2700mhz 7800GT @ 460/1150 SM 2.0 = 1657 HDR/SM 3.0 = 1668 CPU score = 1052 Overall score = 3824 DAMN ! that's one intense benchmark !!!
Can you tell me where you got the 82.65 driver plz? EDIT: nm, i found them. Sorry i can't delete this post.
hmm, 8000+ with gtx sli, i wonder how long it will take before 10000 is broken. damn, that score is more than what i have in 05.
This bench makes me think i made a bad choice by not goin ahead and upgrading to PCI-E and getting a 7800(not that i could afford it anyway) I havent benched yet, as i cant find a server to download it from as they are all full. But by lookin at the screens, this bench will rape my card like a bitch. Ill have to do some major tweaking to get a good score. But my card seems to do HDR very well, without stress. So i hope it does well. Wonder if i put some extra cooling on my CPU so i can actually bench it at 3.4GHz/680MHz. Bet mabye then i could get a good score, i tried benchin it at 3.4 with 05 but it crashed.........It says the internal clock max is 3.6, wonder if i could hit that?
Ok, heres mine so far... 7548... not bad at all... I think Dual Core CPU's really count in this one! My CPU is @3ghz, and If you compare mine and Gar818's scores then you will see the following: SM2.0: Me = 4157 Gar818 = 3638 SM3.0: Me = 4139 Gar818 = 3438 CPU: Me = 1188 Gar818 = 2085 That really does show that 06' favours Dual core, seeing as he gets 8k and I get 7.5k, where mine CPU is at 3.0ghz and his is at 2.75.... interesting indeed... Oh, and after all that i nearly forgot my compare link: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7005
4869 cpu @ 2.37ghz /gfx @ factory settings (extreme gamers edt.) 490/1300 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7938
I think i need a dual core cpu somehow, graphics @ 497/1240 Happy to see i am matching a 4000+ and 7800GTX... saved myself almost £300
6800XT, 16ps,5vs@325/700: (AA & AF set to application-controlled, VSync is on, with System performance set to Quality) 1418 I did better in the HDR/SM3.0 tests than in the SM2.0 tests. Strange. CPU score of 569 - I can only assume that is low! EDIT: Using 81.96 drivers - think there will be an improvement with the newest drivers? Is there anyway to alter the options without buying the full product?
yeah MIKEMK dual core does make a difference, i wonder what my score would be with yout cards hehe......im going to get the new nvidia 32pipe cards soon as they come out, imma do SLI....that should be nice....im going to sell my gtx's anyone wanna take both off my hands pm me.
Is anyone having problems with SLI and 3dmark 06? I just installed it and ran through a few times, and it only detects my one card. Also, is there any sound during the benches?
I can't believe it, I had no idea that 3DMark06 had even come out. I'm blown away that there has already been almost 69K downloads right here at guru3d.com, crazy! After reading through most of the post I don't even want to try it because I'm sure I'll get depressed, lol! I'm actually pretty pumped about trying it out, I bet it looks pretty good. I suppose I'll shutup and go download it, then post back in a bit. Wish my luck guys, lol!
and if you look carefully you'll notice the cpu score doesn't have very much influence on the 3dmark06 overall score! So no point in complaining (this is not intended to be an insult so don't feel insulted) about the fact there is a cpu score since it's not very important in the overall result anyway
