Oculus quest works with Steam?

Hi guys we just bought my kid a Quest and tried to plug into her pc using Usb-type C and nothing is coming up . Is it comptable with Steam or no? Thank you in advance. Nz.

 

Yes but it's compatibility is also dependent on the cable that you use to connect it with to the pc, so you may need to also buy one that is compatible.

 

We used. Regular Type C (usb) cable. So it has to be a Specific quest cable where can I buy it?

Yeah it seems not all cables will work, the offical cable will work 100% but that is the most costly, you can buy that from the Oculus site, but i see a l lot are buying third party cheaper cables from Amazon and the likes that have been confirmed to work.

Just out of curiosity and before you buy any cables have you downloaded and installed the oculus software on your PC?
