update: i install DX 9.0.c web install october edition and it install fine. window update install 8 patch fine. look like some people have bootleg windows lol
Well, as soon as it works correctly, people should post any results they experience with this new DirectX version. Such things as a slower desktop browsing, faster bootup, better/worse gaming quality.
It is not bootleg lol im looking at my Flashy XP CD right here and now. In its original green, orange, and blue XP sleeving. Its a known problem and the updater has been fixed. But the DX is still having issues. I know many other people that experienced the problem as well, and many on this forum as you can see.
wrong, it actually fixes problems. Installing 9.0c doesnt go OVER dx10 it adds and updates entries to dx. I can confirm its installing correctly now.. to test some games
Oblivion is playing real nice, but im on Vista rc2 so I cant really compair it to xp. Farcry plays same
It's not a new version, it's just a small update and it's quite nice actually. I always install the newest dx update, because it usually have some bug fixes and sometimes improves the smoothness of some games. This one runs fine, and there is a little performance increase in COH.
I have installed it without any problem on two different machines (Ati x1300 and Geforce6600GT, both of them Intel CPU based, both WinXP SP2, newest drivers. But, look what I've got: -Horrible decrease (-15%) in all of my OpenGL games - Quake3, 4, Doom3...! -Not a slightest improvement regarding anything else (D3D games etc. etc.). Seems like M$ is continuing to play good old monopoly, trying to do everything that can be done to kick OGL out of market, not taking very much care of the users of XP or future users of Vista. Can anybody remember any public research made by M$ in terms of what do the people fond of playing games (and they make a substantial part of Win community) think of the difference between D3D and OGL? But it won't be so easy my BigBadBilly-boy, since, according to some rumors, OGL has already found some sort of "oblique strategy" to fully (Khronos group&ver.2.1) step into the upcoming Vista.:eyebrows:
directx 10 and pc's saw this and made me start thinking about the future of overclocking and gaming considering i am rebuilding a pc as we speak... http://www.overclockers.com/articles1375/
Do you realise there are texture mods to remove that pea soup like texture in oblivion? Your gpu demands these things, its feeling under used lol.
