Just ordered my x1800xt 512 and was wondering what software to use to OC the card... AtiTool or RivaTuner. Would like to hear some pros and cons for either... TIA.

  2. Riva Tuner or ATI Tool Beta. But I would say ATI Tool Beta because you can set voltages on the fly

ATI tool, it can also edit voltages and test for artifacts on the spot.

I just use Rivatuner, the card happily does 700/1600 on stock volts and I dont like the mode switching method that ATI Tool uses, caused me a few lock ups, usually while playing WoW and trying to play a video at the same time.

However ATI Tool does *generally* work pretty well though, and before Rivatuner featured X1K series overclocking support it was the only real choice (if you wanted to go beyond the 690/1600 Overdrive settings).
